beta tester suggestion to the developer... on completion of creating a slideshow video change the illogical

"Published successfully, Click OK to open the folder of the published file."
and the only buttons on the box are "Yes" and "No"

Either change the Yes button text to "OK" the No button semantically still works. Or change the text of the anouncment to something more like:

"Published successfully, would you like to open the output folder?"

Then the Yes/No buttons make sense.

Just to test it's limits a little I created a 3840x2160p x264 MP4 slideshow and it worked, nothing blew up. There is no support for lossless codecs or HEVC so there will have to be some qualitative compromises if one want's to externally re-encode such a slideshow to HEVC or VP9

It is using an ancient copy of GPLv3 FFMPEG DLLs in the sub folder resources\Default\FFDLL\ which predate HEVC x265 and VP9. It does not need to be upgraded to version 4 branch of FFMPEG but versions 2 or 3 that retain compatability with at least XP SP3 and newer and support all the current codecs just not all the GPU acceleration platforms would suffice. Switching to LGPLv3 build instead of GPLv3 build would be more honourable to.

And this program is an expansion of Thundersoft Flash Slideshow Factory hence the program name being FSFactory.exe and not SFactory.exe or TSFactory.exe and it produces all the transitions and animations via SWF files it has in the resources\ folder tree It first generates a SWF slideshow which it then renders through FFMPEG DLLs into video files and if there is a soundtrack added that is then merged to make the final video.

Software crops my photos, I don't need this, I can't find a way of stopping it.

I would have liked to review the samples, there was a link for several, but doing so was not possible. Not being able to do so did not bolster my confidence in the offereing so I will pass.

Im confused. It says its "free" here in two places, and it also says its 50% off.
I downloaded it expecting it to be free (like it said) but all i could find was links to 50% off the thundersoft apps. Am i doing something wrong? I couldnt even find the place to register and put the key code in. (this is after i downloaded it)
If anyone knows where i went wrong and can help me i would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Annie:)

Annie, click on Register and put in the ID and code from the Readme.txt file

Anne, if you follow these steps you'll be OK. 1. Install the software and don't close it. 2. Open the read me file, everything that you need is there. 3. On the top right corner of the program menu you'll see an icon with a question mark. This is the help button. Right next to that is the registration button. Click on that and fill in the fields.

Good luck.

Annie, Yes. That sounds like the browser window that launches after installing Thundersoft Slideshow Factory. The app also launched a registration window on first run, which was behind the browser window. I clicked that icon on the taskbar, so I didn't have to close the browser. If you aren't using the browser, close it and see if the registration window is there. If not, maybe there is an installation issue? If you can start the program, there is also a registration link in the upper right corner of the screen when it's the active window. Hope this helps!

Annie, yup, ignore the webpage that is launched after installation completes and if you left the option to run the program selected you would have found UNDER the browser window an input window awaiting the license information from the readme.txt file that comes in the giveaway bundle zip. If you deselected the run the program option then when you seperatly launched the program it would have asked you to enter the license info on first run... after you have let the registration wizard verify the license details via an internet connection the software will have become licensed full version and not a free trial.

Surprisingly nice slideshow maker. One thing I like is that motion is applied to all images. A lot of configurable options. Better than a lot of slideshow makers that I've seen.

well, it works but the candycolored interface is quite the experience from 1990

Don, The interface is really questionable.

Don, Considering it is developed in an old version of Borland Delphi is it surprising it's not windows themes aware? At least they've tarted it up from the default classic windows style Delphi layouts a little!

Version 4.5 is good, going to take this version 5.0 and over-install. A real easy and effective tool kit. Thank you all @ ThunderSoft for this great offering.

If you buy it, is there any free update?

Reply   |   Comment by Katalin  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-14)

Katalin, It should be clear before buying, because 99% of the programs offer the update. (I bought it in December because you can't reinstall it after a system crash. I wanted to update, but it doesn't seem to work.)

I don't recommend hardly any thing but this slide show software is the best thing since slice bread as the saying goes.

It's the best fun software you can have adding pictures and music and all the different effects make you a full pro with the simplicity that a 2 year old could master.

Do try it you won't delete it that's for sure
