What happens at the end of the one year license. Will it become inoperable. As in the passwords created will be locked to the program unless you renew. Or will you be able to use it beyond the license without updates as an old version.
As I'd hate to create passwords and find I can't export them should the time come I wish to do so. Just needed to ask.

i wont share a review on GAOTD todays offer but i will share my thoughts/concern!!
While it is becoming a difficult nearly to impossible to memories all accounts passwords, it is a great idea to have a PM software that can manage that all...but the missing part of these S/W is how secure are they?
Steganos is one of the choices available in the market however it is only for one year and after that we have to pay? don't take me wrong this is fair... but what if i don't want to continue how i will memorize all my Passwords and how Steganos will protect my identity after uninstalling the program?
thanks GAOTD & Steganos for todays offer to whom want to discover its usability...for me i will stay with the free version of LastPass

mm155, The software will still work. There just won't be improvements or security updates. Do you really think that they would hold your passwords for ransom?

mm155, The solution's obvious. Either stay with Steganos when a recurring fee becomes payable OR select any of the FREEWARE password managers out there and install your chosen one and run it BEFORE deleting your by now unused Steganos software OR sign up to a lifetime subscription with something like one of the leaders in this field: Sticky Password. It offers great discount deals at various times of the year; I grabbed a lifetime deal a few years ago and have never had to worry about passwords since. You're agonizing over nothing at all, really.

mm155, Export a file. A new password manager will install it.
Do this before the year runs out if you don't want to keep this version.

Rick_S, thanks for your comment..
answering your question ...i dont think they will hold it but you don't have a guarantee that their servers wont be hacked, do you?

Peter Wilkinson, Thanks for your comment,
I prefer an "open source" solution Or a Freeware from a reputable S/W firms

mm155, No, but that is true of every company with online backup. I've used Roboform for well over a decade, and they have an online backup now

7 out of 10: works on some PDFs no problems, some others will not convert (PDF that are scanned [Pictures of text]) to text (to .DOC files). You decide if it is useful.
