I lost my broadband last night before the download completed, it was a regional problemis there any way I can get this today? I use XL for everything.

At this time, no other comments of actually installing it. I did just to see what it does. Near the end, the setup reported that it could not delete an old file: Bytescout.SpredsheetTools.ShellExt.dll. I have no record of installing this software previously, so it seemed a bit odd. Rather then delete the file, I renamed it, and did the Retry. After success, I checked the new file, and both have the same timestamp, and same HASH valued. So they are trying to replace a new file in an initial install.

Sorry, I don't see this having any advantage over the free LibraOffice's included LibraCalc spreadsheet.

It supposedly helps by "editing, writing and calculating, working with tables and much more." All it does is convert to another format. "You don't need any other tool to be installed." - yes, you do if you want to work with the newly converted document. The description here and on their website does not seem to describe the actual limit of its design.

And the use is ? There is no hint even of what this app is supposed to do. If you have Excel you probably do not need this at all. If you do not have Excel, well maybe it helps. Maybe

Konrad, I have Microsoft Office 2007 Business Pro. All the later versions hardly added anything, so no need to upgrade. It does everything i need and more. MSO Excel 2007 can handle everything i need to do with my spreadsheets, and is compatible with nearly all the other MSO apps.

I have office 2003 pro with 2007 pack so I have XL with all its bells and whistles and am very proficient with it. Later version added nothing except a price tag!

Agreed! Open Office is open source and intended to keep Microsoft from owning and manipulating the applications world once they used their operating system monopoly to put their competition out of business (remember Lotus 1-2-3, WordPerfect, Harvard Graphics, etc?). Recommend to everyone who doesn't want to make Microsoft even richer and more powerful. Only qualification is that you need to change the default file format to a MS format or do 'save as' each time.

The ByteScout homepage says this program is free for personal use. Only for business use you have to buy it. But business usage is prohibited by the Gaotd rules...

From Giveaway Daily note to me: "Use the activation key to allow your registration and run the program for business purposes". This seems to say free for business use but contradicts your prohibition observation.
Based on your observation and several others as well, it is apparent that I won't be downloading this giveaway since I'm not sure of what I will really get functionally, ethically or legally.
