No recovery program can recover anything, especially if it is media files. Then Windows says after the restore, "can not play the file because it is damaged or missing the necessary codecs". "When files are removed from the trash, this is a place for Windows where something else may be written".

The main problem with this giveaway is not that it is a recovery program. It is from a company that several problems were pointed out with trust and continuity of their company from last year. No one from the company has bothered to explain as more reputable companies have done on this site.

When there're softwares which can do more, why settle for one that can only recover photos?

I scanned my computer and it found a lot of deleted photos, but only previewed them. If you want the photos recovered, you must buy the program. No thanks.

I am always cautious about trying software from an unfamiliar source. The developer of today's GAOTD says it has been in business since 2011, so that's reassuring. It also says "we have more than 150 excellent employees who are all experts in their respective departments: Development Dept, Test Dept, Product Dept, Marketing Dept, Support & Service Dept, and Management Dept."

So that's at least 110 more than the very very long established Fengtao Software (makers of DVDFab) which says "we have more than 40 excellent employees who are all experts in their respective departments: Development Dept, Test Dept, Product Dept, Marketing Dept, Support & Service Dept, and Management Dept."

I really don't like 'coincidences' of this kind when thinking about a new software installation.

Yeah, I hadn't recovered from the last recovery programme.....

In fact, it's all these recovery programmes that are making me sick....

Can't we be offered something new and exciting, for a change??

I'm not ungrateful -- just a teeny bit bored.....
