Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise.
ReaConverter 7 Standard was available as a giveaway on August 4, 2015!
ReaConverter is an ultra-fast batch image converter that supports no less than 500 input formats and 55 output formats. The simple and clean interface of the program makes it easy to use even for novices. The program also provides a lot of additional features, including batch editing and modification options.
Includes an additional feature called Watch Folders. With Watch Folders you can configure reaConverter to monitor your image folders and automatically apply specific actions to all files included in each one of them.

Imverter.com is a free and simple online image converter. It processes 500+ image formats including RAW (CR2, NEF, ARW), vectored graphics (CDR, SVG, DXF), postscript (PDF, AI, EPS) and lots of other picture formats. The program converts almost any graphic file to common picture formats in one click: JPG, PNG, GIF, PDF, BMP and TIFF.
I installed and registered this without noticable problems. However I just discovered that upon registration the program will create a folder C:\reaConverter7 where it apparently places its copy protection. Without this folder the program runs in trial mode.
Sorry, I cannot tolerate an extra folder in the root of my C: drive for every program I install. That nonsense went out of style in the late 80's. Uninstalled.

Ahh well ... $50 120 MB program not able to do what FREE 4 MB IrfanView can do -- WORK!
What do you think, Reasoft, any comments?

Well that was certainly a waste of my time! The registration page simply said, and I quote (snipping my info):
here is your registration key for reaConverter Standard:

Thank you!
Tried with two different email addresses... Needless to say the code "0" does not work so I'm stuck with a trial. Time to uninstall. Thanks for nothing reasoft. (did not capitalize on purpose-they don't deserve it)

This morning there was a problem with checking the GOTD-server:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10366431/_GOTD/ReaConverter7Standard_20150804/ProblemServer.png
I started Internet Explorer and searched for CNN.
After a answer I started GOTD-setup.
The check went well, although it took some time because of the size of the zip:

This program is one of the best batch pictureconverters i've seen on gotd. Interface is very clean, lots of options under menu and "add action". With "add action" you can set an order to process picture manipulations in batch. You can save these batch of actions too (tiny triangle after add action) as an .act file.
I think the interface is a bit unconventional (batch actions are shown horizontally) but very good (wide screen monitors). Possibilities are almost endless. B.t.w. you can set the compression options of the different file types at "Menu" ... "Saving settings", not under "saving options". It is handy to look at them first to control output quality.

As much as I value Karl's opinion on a daily basis; I have to disagree with:- "The only difference between the “standard” and the “pro” version is the command line interface and if you don’t need the “watch folder”, than you can install the “Lite” version."
The lite version only includes a handful of basic formats and not the 500/55.
Personally, i've been scanning a lot of old documents into PDF recently which need white balance enhancing + other touch-ups = this GAOTD edition does the job perfectly. Especially the fact I can batch process the same enhancements to all my PDF's in one go. The lite version does not include the .PDF format.
It has all the usual facilities you would expect IE. crop, rezise, contrast, colour balance, hue, sharpen, blur, noise, auto-crop, auto-resize to name just a few. The only thing it can't do is Auto Straighten :( Also, it can't do PDF-PDF directly. It will separate the pages into individual PNG or TIFF and then you can batch them all back together and save as a PDF...
It's a keeper for me. Thank you GAOTD.

Agreed: I reckon Karl must've been in something of a hurry today, because there's a heck of a difference between the free 'Lite' version and the Standard one being offered here on GOTD. This particular developer has a good reputation and kudos to it for not only eschewing the misleading practice of labelling stuff 'Platinum' or 'Ultra' or even that much abused 'Special Edition / SE' but for being very specific about what its three different editions provide.
Thanks, then, GOTD and Reasoft: from what I've experienced of this software so far, it does what it says, does it well, and is more useful than might seem at first sight. Recommended.

Interesting, that their Readme.txt file says "Strictly non-commercial usage", yet their program reads/writes CAD files, which are primarily created for commercial use.
That being said, our customers often request that our CAD drawings be converted to PDF. So, for testing purposes, I installed this program on my home computer, and then imported one of our AutoCAD 2004 drawings (.DWG). It is of a boat wiring harness assembly, spread out on four production tables, with a total size of 2FT x 32FT in size. The resulting output is surprisingly small, 819KB in size. However, there is no "smoothing". All circles, curves, and rounded corners are all segmented hex shapes.
Don't know if I'm going to keep this or not.

That's why I said, use Autodesk Viewers or if you are a Catia Engineer use theirs, same for Pro/Engineer or SIEMENS SolidEdge
today's giveaway is not for engineers or professional illustrators

I have this software since 23 June 2015. It is for general use. If you are a demanding photographer looking for exceptional RAW converter, you may like to try elsewhere.
e.g. Capture One Pro, DXO Optics Pro, Lightroom, Photo Ninja, Nik's Dfine, etc....
In addition, each camera manufacturer will have their own bundled software for their high end models' RAW converter.
Which one is best for you depends on your personal taste and what brand/model of digital camera you own. This is a moving target, as each year sees new camera top models being introduced with unique selling features and new technical specifications.

I guess I can only say it's not bad, but for the same kind software, I prefer GOTD earlier "Watermark Software" better: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/photo-watermark-7-6/, which runs on Windows, fits different size/format pictures & outputs. Also you can use it to add Watermark graphics to photos.

Installed and registered with problems on a Win 10 Pro 64 bit system. The GOTD installer didn't work for me, so I downloaded the installer from the original site. An installation with many registry changes and a "watch folder" service. Due to old fileformats many (very old) DLL's, backk to 2000+.
The big installation file is mainly due to the different RAW converters.
A company without name and address. And a moderate claim:
"and the most efficient batch processing in any software of this type. . hmmm...
The only difference between the "standard" and the "pro" version is the command line interface and if you don't need the "watch folder", than you can install the "Lite" version.

Of course I could not test all 545 input formats and the corresponding 56 output formats, but the RAW conversion of my digital cameras.
A modern looking resizable interface opens, you add your files or folders. Now you can convert, apply image corrections (in my case) and you'll find the result in a subfolder result.
My test with camera raw and the Adobe DNG format worked without problems.

But the white balance in RAW (Canon CRW) files did not work in my short test as expected, neither in the automation mode nor in the select manual mode.

A complete conversion tool, does basically what it claims. I like the interface, cool and modern.
Uninstalled via reboot
Thank you very much, krypteller!

I see that GAOTD put restrictions back on your link (at least the https one) re-directing you through "sur.ly". Its only right that they do that to you since they do it to all the rest of us.

Registration on their website gives immediately your personal serial number. Activation over internet, manually, Email or per FAX. The program works on Windows 10 and has a Windows Presentation Foundation Interface.
A caution using this program for conversion from Adobe File Formats. I do not have time today to check which version it will convert, but assuming it will read Adobe Illustrator 8-9. In my case it did not convert out of the box the Adobe Illustrator CS6 format, neither to be readable by Adobe Photoshop CS6 (you are required to fiddle around if you have no Adobe Creative Suite).
Standard image file formats are OK, but when it is required to change to DWG or DWF, I highly recommend using Autodesk Viewers (free and paid) that just do the job adequately.
For game developers, this program supports DDS, but you may want to keep using nVIDIA plugins for Photoshop (highly recommended, also because it's free with way more options). With today's giveaway the DDS format is non-standard and will fail in your game engine architecture misserably.
To conclude,
if you really depend on this software, don't use it blindly and think everything works just fine, because it might not work fine. Use alternative methods to check the result image with commercial or free products and see for yourself.
There is no silver bullet as to free alternatives because the file formats are extensively broad than the average image converter.

After an interesting giveaway yesterday, we are back to the usual converters. I've lost track how many times I've converted files, batch watermarked, batch watermark removed, converted to pdf.
