During the activation process, a popup message says I have 100 credits, 1 photo 1 credit. What does this mean? After editing 100 photos, do I have to pay?

John Liu,
Yes , that is exactly what it means , their business model is that you have to pay for every picture that you edit for ever and ever....

I suggest that someone go over the text vs. background for visibility on the various menu options. With the black background, it is very difficult for me to read the greyed-out menu items. Also in the "enter the registration code" box, there is some word in dark blue which, against the black background, cannot be read at all. I look forward to checking out this utility. Thank you.

This is an amazing application. The registration is a bit confusing until I realized it was in "credits" and therefore limits the number of images that may be processed.

I have good old TeoreX PhotoScissors 4.0 from GOTD and i'm quite happy with it, lifetime license and unlimited images able to perform, so i have no reason to upgrade.
For those wondering where the changelog for this program is, it's on the download page here: https://photoscissors.com/download

senzai6293, according to the changelog, they implemented a new background removal algorithm twice, that is kinda tempting to try out but i don't know how well it performs and if it's worth it, i don't want to lose my 4.0 lifetime license. Can this be installed twice along each other, does anybody know or tried?

senzai6293, ok i just tried, both versions stay registered after installation and activation, so for those that want to try out 4.0 and todays offer along each other, you can without losing registration of either version.
Puh, that was close, haha.

senzai6293, what i did was installing PhotoScissors into a different install location, default is "PhotoScissors" under Program Files, i just used "PhotoScissors 8" to install the newer version instead of replacing the old installation.
Good luck.

senzai6293, Install it as a separate program by giving it a different name when you install it. If you installed v4.0 as, PhotoScissors 4.0, install this one as PhotoScissors 8.3. Or, you can give it a completely off-the-wall name like aliens live here.
For example, I have four versions of a program installed and when I click on the appropriate shortcut, they each open a different version.
Hope that's helpful.

Nunya, yes, i did that, otherwise it would have installed into the default location, replacing the old installation.
But for some installers this doesn't quite work, meaning, it asks you if you want to uninstall the previous version or something like that.

It says it is installed and activated, but I cannot fine it on my search?

It seems to work well, and for people with steady hands who can draw well, it should work well. I'm not one of them, though. When I installed it, It gave me 100 credits, where one credit means that I can work on one image, so there will be a cost for anyone who uses it regularly.

It would be useful to know what features/changes have been done since version 4 of this program. I can't find that information on their website.

Brian, the changelog is near the bottom of this page:

Grabbing this while it's available. I have InPaint 7 on my computer. Very nice app, so I trust Teorex. Glad to have opportunity to try PhotoScissors. Thanks Teorex.

I got v4.0 from GAOTD in early 2018 and have used it many times. It does exactly what it claims to do, so I'm looking forward to trying this new version. Thanks for sharing it.

Jeff, if u have lifetime license (most probably), better keep it and replace it.
Save | Cancel
Jeff, I agree with Nektar. This is not a lifetime license, unlike v4 (which I also have).
The license details for v8.3: 100 credits to use during 6 month (1 credit = 1 image).

Nektar and Suze,
you can install this new version fine with v4.0 already installed, it doesn`t overwrite or delete the v4.0 lifetime registration.
That is good for those that want to try out the new version without losing the older one.
I just tried it myself, you just have to use a different install location for version 8, like PhotoScissors 8 instead of just PhotoScissors.
