Downloaded and installed ok but can't get the programme to produce any slideshow without crashing. Uninstalling this heap of rubbish.

I wasn't able to install PCWinSoft's Photo Slide Show Time 1.0.1. Every time I ran the setup.exe file, it would state as usual that it was checking with giveawayoftheday.com for key availability. Then a small "Please wait ..." would appear on my screen. Then after about a minute, it would give me this error message: "Could not connect to server. Installer will now abort." Then every time I clicked the okay button in the error message box, the Themida wrapper would put up a small window that said "Successfully activated" even though nothing had been installed.

Before anyone replies that, because of the Themida wrapper, I should disable my antivirus software and try again, I should mention that, prior to today, I have successfully installed 28 programs from GOTD that had the Themida wrapper, all without disabling my antivirus software.

Only once before was I unable to install a program from GOTD with the Themida wrapper. That was PCWinsoft's 1AVCapture 1.9.8, which was a GOTD giveaway on Jan. 6. On that occasion, I disabled my antivirus, my firewall, and my user account control, but I still kept getting the same error message: "Could not connect to server. Installer will now abort."

Today, I checked to see just what was happening when I tried to run the Setup.exe file. Each time, it created a temporary sub-folder in my AppData\Local\Temp folder. That sub-folder contained a small application, GetServerDate.exe. That application was putting the "Please wait ..." message on my screen, while it attempted to connect to IP Address 162.209.11.5 (mail.pcwinsoft.com).

If I try to go to 162.209.11.5 or mail.pcwinsoft.com in my web browser, I get a "Not Found" error page.

I can't say why other GOTD users have apparently been able to install Photo Slide Show Time 1.0.1 today, while I keep getting the "Could not connect to server" error message. But from now on, I won't download and try to install any more PCWinSoft programs from GOTD.

Tried downloading three times.
"Registration" was successful, BUT the program did not install, even after I temporarily disabled my firewall, and doublechecked that I followed the instructions.

well, I booted into Safe Mode with networking and it installed. A tip........once you have the folder open, right-click on any photo and choose Add All Photos. This is a very rudimentary program with few features. I opened up my music folder and the contents were empty, will not all .mp3 files. I try to open a folder with a .wav file. Contents are still empty. What a joke this program is, I'll stick with the freeware Ice Cream Apps Slideshow Maker, Thundersoft Flash Gallery Creator ( a giveaway=y from the past), Alternate EXE slide (available freeware from majorgeeks.com), and even Free Slideshow Maker puts this program to shame. Note to self...............look at the author of the software (PCWSoft), a big red flag there. It's getting uninstalled immediately

I cannot get setup.exe to run correctly. The dialog box just sits there amd does nothing. I ended task, then tried running as administrator and it still will not run. I've disabled all security and anti-malware software. I think I'll try it through safe boot.

Looks like a recent addition to this developer's product stable, though needs to be more impressive than the usual offering if the $49.99 retail value mentioned on this page is to be justified. Then again though: the developer actually prices this at $19.95 on its own website, so straight off the bat there's a question mark. . .

And that isn't the only one. A decidedly casual approach to describing the products it markets has never done PCWinSoft any favours, and 'Photo Slide Showtime' gets the same treatment: a throwaway paragraph of text. Couldn't the developer have managed something better?

That same question applies to the video demonstrations, because if that's all this software can achieve, then even $19.95, or $0.95, is an over-exaggeration of this product's value: there's freeware beyond the counting out there that can just as easily take whole images, spin 'em, dance 'em, and generally produce a slideshow that looks like nothing you've ever seen -- nor would ever want to see -- at the movie theater or on TV.

Thanks, GOTD, but no thanks. If a developer of this kind of software isn't even prepared to tell me whether pan & zoom is built in (as it should be, if money is being asked for a slideshow product) but instead requires me to waste my time finding out, then there's no incentive to download and trial . . . at any price.

Like several other times. I run the setup & it pops up successfully activated but no program is extracted.

Hilda,

This often happens when the GOTD wrapper is blocked by Avast or some other antivirus application.

To fix this, I disable my Avast for a couple of minutes, install a giveaway program, but immediately re-enable Avast as soon as the installation starts.

Hope it helps you.

The download and install is very easy. The program will load and set the pace and presentations for your photos. Everything seems so simple until I load more than 8 photos. Then it slows down and after 10 photos it stops and displays an internal error. Also your explanation on how to install sound really does nothing at all. Oh it will load a picture of the album cover but no matter how hard I try, that is it.
I believe this to be as you stated. Just load and display a few birthday photos and save them in a file that only this program will display. Oh yeah, you can save the file as a avi. if you like.
This is a very amateurish program and I thank you for it. However I probably will never use it myself. Maybe my Grand kids will. Thank you GAOTD and PCWinSoft for the program

Sorry but no software "creates eye-dazzling photo slideshows". The photographer does that by taking eye-dazzling photos.

What type of music files are supported? When I open my music directory in the programs file exployer it does not show any of my mps files. If I try and drag and drop any mp3 file from the windows file exployer it does not allow me to do so?

Other questions I have:
Is there a way to add commentary to the slideshow?
Can I add custom transition effects?

Lastly, I received a Program error when trying to change the transition effect on a photo? The error produced the following error message: "Unhandled execption has occured in your application." Under the details area in the error message, it states the following:

KEVIN (#5): Didn't have any problems drilling six levels for a packet of photos OR have a problem with "D 'N D" to the assembly area, but after that I lost the whole thing. I have to go back and read the instructions in the helpfiles again, but it downloaded and installed just fine for me (Firefox 58.0) and allowed me to look deeply into "The Tunnels Of Moria" which constitute my file structure. Give it another shot (or don't). Might just could be worth it.

(OMIGOSH! I made a POSITIVE remark about a program? Signs and Wonders!!)

The cost on their website is $19.95. Why do they say here it's $49.95. Do companies not think that people will check what they claim?

Also you can't get into subfolders of folders on your desktop and you can't drag and drop from file explorer? This seems like basic needs for slideshow builder. Deleting.

The file explorer is too rudimentary. I have a folder of pics on my desktop, if I click on the desktop in folder list it only shows pics that are on the desktop, not the folder I want to get into.

its too simple program, mainly for kids. where are the options to set custom transition effects, set seperate transition time for different photos, different music can be added by pre-editing the music track in audacity.
