@ #16- we already got “Perfect365″ on December 14, 2011, and Perfect365 Standard on December 22, 2012.

see http://http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/?cat=2149

not my top pick, but for some it's useful.

To Joe (#16)
I believe what you mean by your statement "lets see what your "Perfect 365" is all about" is that you hope they give it away here on GOTD....they already did... it was the giveaway on 12/22/2012.
See here:
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/perfect365-standard/#more-36516
Also on 12/15/2011 ArcSoft gave us Photoviewer.
In other words - ArcSoft has been good to us which i and i'm sure others appreciate very much.
Thanks ArcSoft

I can't figure out how to scale the photo's in the slide show. Seems to stretch them out full size to the point that it only shows a 4 by 4 pixel section of high resolution pictures. (win7 64bit)

The quick click favorites is a unique feature that makes it a little different in a saturated market, but the flaky slideshow module kills it for me.

John R. (#11): Stortch is here almost every day, sharing his vast knowledge with eager readers. (That was sarcasm.) He's either annoying or amusing, depending on whether you've had your coffee yet.

And really, "who wrote to company blurb"? From an editor with 30 years experience?

To the vendor. The purpose of GOATD is advertisement. If you want meaningful advertisement don't offer us your lest feature and cheapest software in which there are better and free alternatives. Let's see what your "Perfect365" is all about.

Won't even attempt to open PDD files. Nore did it open some files from PHOTOWORKS (old propiortory mail order photo format). It wouldn't even open some .ART files and some files I had from some apple graphic disks. So, this program gets a thumbs down. I will continue what I consider (paid version) the BEST all around graphics editor from the old days. Microgrphix's windows DRAW! (using version 4.0).

Yes, "the program barely has any features". It can open quite many pictures, but not without problems (broken white balance in old crw photos). It can save to most basic formats, but without any options, so unusable. It can rotate only in 90 degree steps. I wasn't able to test the slideshow, it always crashed, but could be my fault - some graphic programs don't feel well in virtual machines.

This one can not be compared to complex programs like Faststone or Irfan. Years of development have been invested in Irfan's little viewer. Even the tools that come with Windows - plus, for instance, MS raw codec - are more useful and advanced. It would be difficult to find a free program, worse than today's offer.

Why all the effort to re-invent the wheel? There are so many free viewers superior to this one.

The developers must be clueless to enter a saturated market segment with such an anemic offering...

If they are trying to acquire funds to bootstrap a future product, they need to wait until it offers more functionality.

Or perhaps they are intentionally preying on clueless users (my guess) by charging a fee for this fluff.

My recommendations: Zoner Free, XnView, FastStone.

I spent 30 years as an editor. In my opinion, comment 7 by Stortch is written by the same person who wrote to company blurb.

LOL... I believe that they have realized that there are too many FREEWARE out there far better than their product.
So they decided to switch into the shareware niche again because they know that in that niche lots of (silly) uninformed people believe that FREE software are just crap and not worth downloading.
In such way they have more chances to make more money by selling their product at cheap price....as simple as that!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

As for today's giveaway looks like a very good program for....kids (tto basic)!!

Of course 10 bucks is a very cheap & attractive price, especially if you don't know that there are plenty of better FREEWARE alternatives out there which do much more for FREE!!

This program is good but certainly not great. But actually that is the way it is priced. The price in my opinion is in line with what the program has to offer. Thank you GOTD team for your efforts and thank you ArcSoft Inc. for the oppurtunity to try your program.
