I tried it with a large 274 page pdf of plant images and descriptions. Images came across OK. Tables were mixed up a little. Sentences run off the right side of the page or cut off mid sentence.

For PDF's that were generated by originally printing as PDF (Print - PDF...) it works excellent. It creates excellent versions in Word, Text (notepad), even graphics (JPG, GIF, etc.). Generating to HTML, that was hit-or-miss. I put a 78-page document (generated as PDF originally so easy text conversion) to convert to Word (great), Text (great), Image (excellent, 78 images of all types), and then HTML. The program repeatedly crashed. It was able to convert other PDF's to HTML successfully, so not sure what was wrong there.
For PDF's that were scanned in, say from a scanner, that's where things changed. The program ran longer, and while it produced output (here I only tried to make a Word doc), each page was an image, uneditable and basically a full-page screen-grab of the PDF's page. Understandable since a scanned image can be askew, up-side-down, or even cut off (the nature of scanning), but worth noting if you plan on converting a bunch of documents you fed into your printer to convert to PDF.
I'm a junkie for these things. Similar software I had from another give-away expired and this has taken its place, at least for the next year when the license expires.

HerbA, Does it do a better job than simply opening the PDF in a recent version of Word?
