Just as an FYI, if you work in the IT field and are staring at a computer screen 8+ hours a day, the last thing that you want to do is go home and again be staring at a computer screen for long. Plus, most corporate IT shops have their employees desktops/laptops locked down so tight for security reasons that you cannot install any type of software unless it is approved by corporate and I doubt this software would qualify. The biggest health insurer in my state of SC in which I worked for also disabled the use of thumb drives as well.

Starchild, Viewing a PC screen for 12 hours a day has never been an issue for me... I guess I just don't stare so my eyes don't get tired!
I agree any corporate entity with serious investment in computerised operations should, if they don't already, lock down all workstations from running any non-approved executable and have USB mass storage device drivers deliberatly crippled so they cannot be used or even the USB ports physically disabled. Nowadays data leaks of customers data can have a crippling effect from massive fines to wrecked corporate reputations.

PNotes is a free alarm and reminder that can do just about the same thing, and much more.... for free!
If your company wants to offer something different, then propose "real" physical exercises to alleviate the stress of sitting in front of a screen. Show a video or animation on how to do those exercises. If you have a 5-minute break, then propose a 5 minutes stretch, showing how to do so for your arms, wrists, legs, sit up, etc.
