What if the task you need to do involves using a website?

What if you just say "enough work, i need some distraction, let's disable Nope"?

Useless software IMHO. Same thing can be accomplished by pulling out your network cable, or disabling WiFi.

In my views, Nope Pro is using the GOTD services as per it’s intended use. To test the viability & its usefulness out in the public community.

I can see a use. If you work at home at all, and are working with an immediate deadline, or fixing an online problem, getting emails and various other popups or sounds could be a big distraction.

Rick_S,

I use an alternative program called Self Restraint. Works every time.

Niv,

While I certainly appreciate your humor, with some, that program doesn't work well at all. Those with AD/HD have difficulties in areas such as self-regulation and self-monitoring. I can see this program working well for them. I think this program would be excellent if targeted to the right audience.

Niv,
Bravo! I still might use the program for the 'bad' days

txtim, Yeah, it's like needing a law to tell you right from wrong. Might be of some use to admins. though.

Why isn't Nope Pro mentioned anywhere at the publisher's website: https://iristech.co ??? We just have the two sentences in this page's description. To vague for me to litter my registry to see what all it does. Can we use a password to keep the sites blocked like a parental control? Does it work for all browsers? Why would we need to disable sites to prevent distraction? Wouldn't it be easier to simply not browse the internet until our task is complete?

Nomad,

Most likely the developer is just "testing the waters" to see if this product category is worth the effort of additional promotion.

There are plenty of "parental control" applications, browser extensions/add-ons, and Microsoft Windows own family control settings that might suffice.

The developer needs to further elaborate on what makes this different and more desirable (at least on this page). Perhaps Nope Pro is simpler and/or more focused on just one task it does really well?
