Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise.
NeatMP3 Pro 3.0 was available as a giveaway on June 29, 2016!
Most of us usually download music from the internet and forget to move it from the downloads folder to an appropriate location. Also, most of the songs you download from the internet have incomplete or invalid tags that you usually don’t bother editing. So as time passes by you find yourself with a lot of unorganized music lying around your hard drive.
This is where NeatMP3 Pro comes in with its advanced organizing and tag editing features. NeatMP3 Pro allows you to select all the unorganized audio files from your local drive easily, edit their tags and move them to a new location of your choice where they will be organized and renamed according to your settings. And all of this is done in a single processing session.
A user with the best improvement idea will get a 3StepPDF Lifetime license worth $19.99 for free!
Windows XP/ Vista/ 7/ 8/ 10; Processor: Pentium or compatible 1 GHz; 256 MB RAM; sound card

I haven't tried it, but it says it will tag WAV files, which others don't claim.

I've never been 100% certain about what "Tags" are and why they're necessary but since I have more than 65,000 songs on my 2Tb dedicated hard drive I thought I would take a look at this.
1. It installed and opened on my Windows 10 system. Not sure if it's 32 or 64 bit. I didn't see an option for that during install.
2. The Interface was pretty basic. All of my music files are organized. I chose a folder with 18 songs in it.
3. I "Unchecked" the box that said to organize my files. I had to select one song at a time and then hit "Start"? A box popped up saying that it was completed but I don't know what it did. I don't know what it did to the "TAG" if anything. I don't see a place to browse the "TAG" once it's done.
4. As for the player, it worked fine and played each song I selected when I pushed "Play".
5. I'm just not certain what this does. Thanks GOTD for the offer but I'm going to delete this and let Music Monkey do it's thing.

I'd be interested in the free software you speak of... not doubting you, but just unable to find one that is 'truly' free and not a limited time/amount one that does that. I found the same finding as you. This was unuser friendly to say the least imho.

Strange this was a reply to someone and it ended up a comment. Oh well....

I decided to give NeatMP3 Pro 3.0 a try. Since I do have a large number of .MP3's files, being able to tag them quickly and efficiently is important. But to be honest, NeatMP3 is nothing more than over bloated (56.2 MB installed) tag editor, with a non-functioning audio player. (well for me, it did not work) and a clunky interface. If you are interested in a reliable tag editor, maybe worth checking a great free alternative called Mp3tag (8.69 MB installed) by Florian Heidenreich (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/)
Thanks GOTD Team, but today I will be passing on this offer.

Just a Very Concerned User, i agree with you too. The UI for this program isn't user friendly. The Audio player doesn't work.
I have been using the free version MP3tag for a number of years.
Its a freeware.
Removing this one, not worth keeping. Sorry for sounding sour.

Installed and activated in a breeze.
Some 15 years ago I decided to digitize (or digitalize if you wish) all my music collection (discs vinyls and tapes) and ended up with some 25,000 mp3 files. Of course I needed tools to create tags and after using many free and paid applications my three favorite tools are Rename Master (free), Tags&Rename (paid) and MediaMonkey (free).
Regarding NeatMP3 Pro 3.0, it is not bad at all, but didn't impress me much to be honest. In short it is just another one in the bush.

Seems to me that people who are too lazy to tag their stuff in the first place are not going to drop everything to do it because of a new program! Fairly decent software idea, but I'll pass. Windows can already allow you do this without it.

It says it has successfully installed, but I can't find it on my computer.

Liz, It should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\NeatMP3 Pro if it has installed correctly. I will add that the GAOTD pop-up appears whether the installation works or fails so did you go through the installation steps ("Welcome to the NeatMP3 Pro Setup Wizard" Next, "I accept the agreement" Next, file path Next, Next, Install)?

Liz, Download and Install a Program titled, "Everything"; some call it "Search Everything". If "NeatMP3" is on your computer "Everything" will find it and tell you where it is.
It is compatible with all Windows OS from Windows 2K to 2008 & W8. It does not list Windows 10, but I'm reasonably sure it will work on Windows 10.

JonE, thank you very much for replying. I'll give that a try.

Jerry, I've checked the folder and it's not there. I thought I'd followed all the steps. Guess I'll have to miss out on this one. Thanks for your reply.

I'll be skipping this one as it doesn't seem to offer any interesting/useful (to me) features that Mp3tag doesn't offer. http://www.mp3tag.de/en/
Some of the media players like AIMP3/4 already come with a built-in tags editor, and even an audio converter. http://aimp.ru/
Nevertheless, I'm sure it'll come in handy to many people.

This seems like it could be pretty useful. I already installed it, it's scanning for audio files right now. At least this might be of some use compared to other recent giveaways.

Debra K, How did you get it to work? I got locked into a loop trying to create a profile and had to exit that back to the main program. I was finally able to pull up a single mp3 file, but then the main player didn't work, but when I tried editing the tag, the little player there worked. How do you create a profile? Thanks.

Debra K, Please disregard my previous message as I have deleted this program from my hard drive. I have another tag editing program that I use that is much easier to deal with. Thank you.
