Did install on Windows 10. The only thing I got was a right click menu hyperlink to start the program. No MSTech Manu just a hyperlink to start program and then the program freezes on start. I don't know what this is however I don't thing I want it anymore.

Something strange happened with this install. When I followed the instructions to register and went back to check my software was registered to some stranger in the Netherlands. Maybe someone hacked into this software. I have uninstalled it just to be safe.
Also, suspicious of the really super high thumbs-up rating.

Junk, tried to activate. says its successful but when re-opening the program (as suggested by the program) it always goes back to the activation screen.Not very well thought out, again, Junk.

Installed, even activated it succesfully, at least that'swhat it said.

Installed and activated this software without any initial trouble. The software seems worth a look.
BUT on looking at the license details when the software loaded it showed as being registered to a Pio Ci of Poland bedzia69@gmail.com QWJ7P-*****-*****-F6751
I can guarantee that I don't live in Poland and my name is not Pio Ci.

Can I trust this software and why is my mouse freezing for seconds at a time since installation???

I had a previous version of Swift Gadget (2.2.X?). The installer made me uninstall that version before installing this one, but that worked smoothly and the new version was automatically activated and registered with my old information. No additional activation steps required of me. Thanks!

At the top it says "free upgrade to v3.0"
Later on it says "No Free Update; No Free Upgrade"

Can not install Swift Gadget 2.8.4.
Need NET Framework 4.8.
Trying to install NET Framework 4.8 got the message 'FW 4 already installed'
Setup of Swift Gadget don't start!
Running Windows 10 Pro 1709 x64.

I get the message that I need to install .NET Framework 4.8, but that program I can not install because I have it already installed.

What can I do to overcome this?

Switch Gadget is a very crowded program that has more functions than the good old program "File Menu Tools", which is also configurable, but is clearly slimmer with a 35 MB program size.
Some functions in File Menu Tools (e.g. folder size) don´t exist in Switch Gadget and vice versa.
To click through many subfolders in Switch Gadget makes it more difficult to use than File Menu Tools.
BTW: Switch Gadget only works if the file "swgd.dll" is also registered ...

Looking at the videos and trying to understand what this does and why it is useful. It seems like so many tech things it is a solution looking for a problem. The videos are, well, disappointing. Bad music and fast screens at low resolution, which don't explain much, rather they show things in nested menus which alone have a learning curve to perform simple tasks like moving music from three folders into one.

Sorry, though I appreciate that it is free today, it is far too complex for me to use. I suppose it might be of interest were my career was about managing data files.

It would be worth the investment to hire a "REALLY" good (Masters degree level), UX designer and have them reinvent the user experience to make the functionality more W10 than W98. Again good luck.

Hi. For the people (like me) who want to get an idea of what this program is capable of (and in response to the request for videos), I went to YouTube and found a series of videos showing some of the things that you can do with this program. I'm watching right now and from the 7 or 8 that I've watched so far, I like what I see.

The videos are fairly well done and look professional. However, the one thing that I'd like to request it for narration... it shows the steps for doing things, but I am the type that I need more 'description' of the steps and why / what the other options do. There is only background music and a few 'captioned' texts.

I'm going to give it a try and see what I can do... I need all the help I can get with all of my '20+ years' of file archives :D

PS... I'm not paid or affiliated with MSTech, I am a GotD user (who has been vocal on both sides of comments before). I'm willing to try things that I think would help me.

To add to what other users have said: the software is not ready for prime time. Why should I risk my computer when the publisher does not care enough to have a signed/registered installer. Here is the message Windows gave me when I tried to install:

This is something that has potential but requires a little more thought and refinement.

Firstly, to have windows explorer automatically close for installation but to have no advanced warning will be very concerning for many a user.

Things like the folder print option are messy and the output looks less than useful in the way that it is formatted, or the USB removal option being so very slow to execute a removal.

I would like to see a full set of Youtube videos explaining every single function that is not a feature native to windows as some look initially confusing with descriptions that are not immediately intuitive.

The devs should so some work with end users (both existing and prospective) as to what features should be added to the explorer context menu to fine tune those that are very useful).

I'm keeping it to more fully explore it's features and will be keeping an eye on it's development.

Downloaded, Installed, and activated without any issue or trouble.
I was using the older version from the last giveaway of "MSTech Swift Gadget".
The software does what it said on their website, and it's a fantastic software for everyday activities.

Seriously? Installation kills Windows Explorer just because you ran the installer. Software wants a bunch of PRIVATE (spam collection!) information to complete the registration, then reports: "Error submitting request due to low internet speed. Please try again later or send your request manually to our email at sale@mstech-com.com". Not even worth the time I invested to try this! GOTD honestly needs to spend more time testing before making public.
