Won't register. From the included readme.txt file, I copy and paste the two lines and the text in between them into the registration box. I get a message "The user name must contain between 5 and 40 characters". Uninstalled.

MSD Soft you had your chance. i wanted to try your program, but you locked me out. I think I'll take everyone's advice and go with Roboform.

Thanks for the offer, and no offense to the maker of this software, but I'm not one to just throw the keys (passwords) to everything in my online life into a piece of unknown software from a company I've never heard of. Just not going to take that chance, sorry.

I scoured the website looking for any reference to a third party (trusted or not) that has done any type of security evaluation on this software to insure that it has no back doors, security flaws / holes, etc., and proof that it provides actual solid encryption of my passwords, and as I expected, I found nothing. There apparently has been no outside evaluation of the actual security of this software, and all we have to rely on is the "word" of the publisher that it's secure, and a large list (most recent 1000 apparently) of supposed "anonymous" users who purchased the lifetime license. I wouldn't doubt if the company is using this giveaway to fill that list, if any of those listed there are even valid to start with.

Sorry, but that's just not good enough for me to giveaway the keys to my entire online existence. I'll stick with tried and true software that has been security tested by known and trusted 3rd party security firms.

I just use the "save password" function in Chrome. It saves usernames and passwords and updates when you change it. It also follows you when you are logged in on your phone. You can find all of the passwords in the settings. No need for a separate password manager when using Chrome. Avast will also tell you if your password has been found in a data breech.

Silent Wolf, "I just use the "save password" function in Chrome."
Beware that there are scripts that extract the passwords from Chrome, so if you do install some malicious software, a textfile of sites and passwords gets created, which is then FTP'd to 'wherever'. Before you even know about it. Its not secure at all.

Just downloaded....It looks promising but after running through the menu and the help section, I find no information or proceedure for importing passwords and other information from different password programs......If these passwords have to be imported/entered one at a time, this is a deal breaker..

I am happy with keepass for years... I do not need a third party online password manager when i can use my keepass in conjunction with veracrypt, encrypto, and one drive

Roboform - - - Best ever!!!

Updates almost weekly, nothing compares. Been using it for decades, check it out.

Free or paid version. Paid version is definitely worth it.

Susan, Agreed. I just renewed for another three years. After over 10 years of enjoying trouble free use, I see no reason to try anything else.

I second that. RoboForm is excellent and worth every penny I have been spending on it for over 10 years. Members of my family and my friends can testify to it as well. Once you start using it, you are in it for good.

Susan, Totally agree, using Roboform for 10 years and I love it. Use it on all my devices, never an issue. No need to switch.

I don't think you people understand the purpose of this site. it's not to promote someone else's software but to review the software that is been offered here and make a comment good or bad about this software

Reply   |   Comment by Trev  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-2)

Trev, No - I disagree. This website gives away software X. Its no good to simply say, "Well, use software Y", but if software X has flaws or is only a six-month licence, its perfectly valid for someone else to say, "I recommend software Y as it does this better, is better doing that and also has this feature." so yes - other software should be promoted if it is better than what is given away.

A password manager is essential. No-one should be using the same password across multiple websites, so theoretically, it would be very difficult to remember all the passwords for each website.
Rather than a complicated password like 0o01lia$32 (is that a zero, capital o, number 1, capital i, etc), using a phrase is much easier - blueHappyDuck-286 for example. 17 characters, numbers, a symbol, capital letters, etc.
An open-source password manager (which works great on Windows, Android and probably iOS too) is bitWarden. Heavily recommended.
