TwistedBrush Pro Studio is a program for digital artists of any level: from novice to professional. Strong focus on natural media painting, photo editing and illustrative styles. TwistedBrush has more than 9000 brushes in over 250 ArtSets!
If you want a stripped down version for painting and drawing with a new slick interface then Paint Studio is for you. TwistedBrush Paint Studio strips away complexity and what remain are the very best natural media brushes available as well as the key features that have always made TwistedBrush great.
Tree Studio is a product born from TwistedBrush Pro Studio but with a focus on 2D tree creation with a simpler, streamlined interface. Tree Studio has pairs of brushes for each tree type. One for the frame and one for the leaves. The frame is algorithmically generated so it will be different each time. This allows you can create an endless variety of each tree type.
Selfie Studio provides you the creative tools to edit your photos to get just the look you want.
The Blob brushes allow you to model and shape your objects and then paint them with the included brushes with the results being crisp lines you might see in illustration software but without the need to mask anything. You can even continue to shape your objects after they are painted.
First comment after years of using GAOTD: Wow!
Heavy-duty Krita user, but this app--despite its clunky interface--rocks. If Van Gogh saw what this could do, he'd never pick up a brush again.
A seriously powerful program. Color me impressed.

Okay so it is now a bit after 8pm and still no email link. Went to the site and sent them a message. Sure hope there is someone there. If the developer sees this, would you please advise me as to what I should do?
Thanks

Followed all the instructions up through the setup(.)exe, where it says it's activated, but I do not get a program file afterward, and it is nowhere to be found on my computer. Searching only turns up the zip file, and no program file.

I have Pixarra twisted brush from previous giveaways and even bought it some time ago
But why Luminace studio does not work well with wacom digitazer ?
If I use the bamboo stylus it shows the brush in different places from the screen cursor

So I really want this program. Have some of the others that were giving away here before and they work great, especially for someone like me who has little talent or luck with other programs.
However, being told link was sent to my email, but still hasn't arrived. Need to go out so am hopeful it will show up by time I get back early this evening.
Check out the video on the site. Especially for Bob's comment. The face drawing that the video shows will improve your understanding of just what you can do with this program.

BobbyA, Thought I'd try running in "try" mode and enter the key then. Program said unable to open a number of files. twistedbrush.env , globaleffects.cfg , curcolhistory.dat for writing, among the errors. Same problem if I try to enter key using the key entry selection found on the Help menu. I wonder if this program is unable to handle being installed on hard drive D: instead of C:

I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, this time letting it default to drive C: Was then able to enter key, and start program. Product doesn't appear to know how to find some of the components it installs, if they were not installed to the C drive.

BobbyA, try to check security notification, may Windows (W10) is blocking the access to protected folders.
Save | Cancel
BobbyA, those files are incorrectly stored in the programs installation folder heirachy
Program Files\Pixarra\Luminance Studio\data
and windows vista and above, when it can, virtualises writes to those protected folders by redirecting the writes and subsiquent reads to the per user virtualstore\ folder heirachy. It apears your installation to a different drive letter breaks the automatic Virtulisation workaround Microsoft invented for bad legacy programming practices.
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Pixarra\Luminance Studio\data
You likely have a couple of options... all sub optimal as far as security is concerned but the programmer leaves little choice by their old windows 95 programming style!
Option 1 is add the modify permission to the Users security group to the installations "data" and "temp" sub-folder. Ugh that allows non-elevated users to create and modify files in the installations sub-folders mentioned. You will need to create those two folders if you have never run the program as an adminstrator at least once. That may be the best compromise since it allows the data and temp folders to be written to but not any of the rest of the installations files that should be protected from unauthorised writes.
Option 2 run the program as an administrator to at least activate it... that will permit the files mentioned to be written to the installation folder, then try running it non-elevated to see if it is able to run non-elevated from then on. If it can then that may be ok.
Option 3 if Option 2 in total does not work and Option 1 does not work and it needs to be run as an admistrator every time in order not to crash... use compatability option to run as an adminstrator. I do not recommend this option it interferes with the way windows likes to work, allows an improperly written program to run with elevated rights all the time which might be ok but in case you inadvertantly ask it to do something it might be prohibited from doing as a non-elevated program... it will go right ahead and do it without any warning, or demand for a UAC prompt for authorisation.

The current version is 3.0. it's just fine to offer V2.17 as GOTD, but when the only video they have on youtube is of V2.02. I wonder why to bother.
Save | Cancel
ad id, a 2.02 youtube video is likely to be more related to 2.17 than a 3.0 youtube video would be ... so I don't see any great sin in that unless the giveaway was for 3.0 which it is not. You can also see a plethorah of pixarra videos at https://www.screencast.com/users/Pixarra
Some of which will be transferable to todays giveaways user interface.

Hi,
During installation, I saw one error... I am not familiar with this type of error where a folder seemed to be locked and the program installer could not access the location to install a file. Once it was complete installing the rest of the files, a Win 10 error was displayed and stopped the program startup. However, the icon was installed on my desktop, so I re-opened the program with no errors.
Now, after looking through the functions and multiple selections of brushes, detailed settings for each, I'm totally impressed.
I can't wait to get started.
Oh, and I want to thank the person who produced the short intuitive video to walk me through some of the many features of this program. Well Done!
Thank you Pixarra Inc. for your generosity. IMO, this is an awesome gift.

I've long enjoyed using the other products Pixarra have offered here so was intrigued to try out this one. It shares the same interface as their other software, which isn't the most attractive out there but does the job and will be instantly familiar to those who have used them.
It's a strange program, not suited to the conventional style of painting, but that is presumably the point. It would be difficult to obtain the same results using a conventional painting program, so it'll be interesting to see what is produced.
One note of caution, though; I tried running it on a dual core Celeron laptop and some of the brushes really struggled, lagging so badly as to make any fluidity in painting nigh on impossible. I'll be trying it on a much more capable machine later, where such issues shouldn't be a problem. If you've any interest in digital art I'd definitely give this one a go, it could well inspire you to create something a bit different.
