the program downloaded, installed, and registered easily, no issues, i have windows 7.

it is intuitive, and seems easy to use. graphics are good. it has a nice feel.

i wanted to make the working window bigger, it wouldn't let me.

the apps are arranged by name. i wanted to be able to also have them be arranged by size, it wouldn't let me do that.

i loved how it nicely showed all my contacts.

it would have cleaned my phone, i was a little hesitant so i didn't do it (yet) but it wanted to rid me of crash logs and artwork cache. i liked that it told me that.

i didn't try any transferring of files for the moment.

there is more to explore. it is worth the download.

Gee, how many more versions of this boring apple crap can you come up with.

Nud Kays, we all have our likes and dislikes. i happen to have an apple phone and therefore i appreciate items like this. you can't please all the people all the time, i.e., you don't get your way all the time.

hunter,
why not?
I've had my way since i was very little and I'm used to it.

hunter, I think the point that Nud Kays was making, with which I whole-heartedly agree, is that if we see any non-PC oriented software on GOTD, it invariably seems to be for the iPhone -- NOT for Android.

Why is it that iPhone, which occupies only a small (but important, okay) segment of the mobile market, has "so many" software programmes offered here, and yet very little that work with Android?

Surely, based on market share, if GOTD is going to be offering software that is geared towards the needs of mobile phone users, it should have far more programmes that work with Android??

Otherwise we Android users are going to feel deprived.

Tranmontane, Re " NOT for Android."

Every day I write a short blog on the giveawayoftheday and add one or more tags to it. One of the tags is Appe, another Android. That showed me we got a giveaway for Android users on December 23, 2017:
Shining Samsung Data Recovery 6.6

There is a technical and a commercial reason we see more giveaways for iOS devices than for Android devices. If you couple an Android device to a Windows machine via USB, the PC will see the Android as an external drive and all files are readily accessible. But an Apple device was not recognised by older MS devices. Apple has produced iTunes for that, but many people have a dislike for it. So most iOS giveaways either replace iTunes all together or act as a layer between iTune and the PC user. Todays six month lend-away does that. It will not work without iTunes.

The commercial reason for more Apple giveaways is that the average Apple user is more willing to spend money on his device than the Android user and less inclined to hassle with Windows.

Tranmontane, Re "a small (but important, okay) segment of the mobile market,"

In my home country Apple has 32% market share this year.

GOTD is a very good site for software developers to introduce their wares. The problem that arises is:
Some developers do not understand basic merchandising tactics.
They all should follow the process used by www.ashampoo.com and give free lifetime licenses.
Purchasers (me in particular) try the free, then buy the expanded features versions.
Developers do not verify that their software has a registered security certificate that works.
They do not give details on how to disable virus check, malware detect, and firewall if needed.
They do not inform about the V-chip firewall in Intel BIOS configurations that blocks installing unlisted
security certificate software. This can be disabled by editing the BIOS with F10 at boot-up., but
YOU better know what you are doing.
My statements may be disputed, but my experience has included all the above.

can't find a six or even 12 month license for this on their site, only license we can buy is a lifetime license so that is what the giveaway of the day should have been for not an extended trial download! Remember GAOTD team you do advertise this site as:

"Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise"

If we cannot buy the exact same license you offer us but without your standard conditions of use then you are making false advertising claims.

BTW about this vendor they a Californian company in USA are heavily involved with IOBIT and uses IOBIT to perform any purchase transaction and they illegally charge an additional 20% allegedly for VAT but do not give a valid VAT registration number whereby such VAT may be reclaimed. And IOBIT use a 3rd party German company asknet AG to perform payment card transactions. Again not providing a valid VAT registration number whereby the illegally charged VAT may be reclaimed.

TK, Re "Again not providing a valid VAT registration number whereby the illegally charged VAT may be reclaimed."

If I buy professional software outside the Netherlands, I expect all legal on-line shops to offer to possibility to enter MY VAT registration number in their form so I will not have to pay VAT at the onset. That is simpler than to reclaim the VAT afterwards in my home country.

If VAT is illegally charged, I assume that money ends up in the pockets of a criminal and is not transferred to the Netherlands. In that case it is practical to assume I have to pay 1.21 times the asking price. If that is too much for me, I will not buy it.

krypteller, As part of the ecommerce rules in the EU as well as publishing a real world address for a EU corporate entity, IF they collect VAT on behalf of a taxation authority they must also publish their VAT registration number to prove they are authorised to collect that VAT. Otherwise everyone could charge VAT and pocket an extra 20%

If I select USA as billing address the including VAT 20% notification is removed but the charged price remains identcal. If you select i am a business and put a VAT number in the price still keeps the same price when the Including VAT notification. To me this is all wrong. If EU and Russian Federation prices include VAT then USA price that does NOT include VAT should be cheaper! And Russian Federation VAT charge being 18% the price charged should be lower than EU countries where the VAT charge is 20% the Russian Federation dollar price should be lower than the EU dollar price but should be higher than the USA dollar price that excludes VAT charges...
