I have used a number of Tint Guide's easy-to-use programs over the years: each one focuses on just one or two areas of image editing and does it well. Sometimes you don't want a one-size-fits-all editing program, because it usually doesn't! Plus, Tint Guide's tutorials are very helpful.

Tried a demo that is contained within the program (remove object). Works differently than Inpaint (Inpaint replaces the object for erasure with surrounding pixels). Image Resize Guide cuts out the vertical section of the whole image and shrinks to eliminate the object along with everything in the vertical path of the object thus bringing image content from left and right together. I understand what Hott2 means, well partially. Thus the overall size of the image is reduced.

Excellent giveaway. Fairly easy to use on landscapes, I have to admit.

Interesting app, along the lines of AFAIK the 1st software to use seam carving called Retarget, from 2005 - 2007. The original idea that led to all the object removal apps & the similar tools in photo editing apps, was to take a photo for the web once, then shrink it for cell phone screens without losing the important parts of the image. Image Resize Guide does that, along with the sort of object removal we're familiar with from the Inpaint giveaways. It's not up to the standards of the AI-backed tools in P/Shop, and you may have to apply the removal step more than once for example, but it works and can work quite well. As with all of these inpainting / seam carving type tools, YMMV depending on the photo, just as some may work better than others on a particular photo. Since Image Resize Guide includes P/Shop compatible plugins, it's easy to give it a try, comparing the results with the built-in tools your image editing software provides.

The app itself is kind of tiny by today's standards at just over 7MB. You get the program's folder [32-bit only], added folders for the plugins, for some reason -- they're also included in the program's folder -- and a folder in Users\ [UsesName]\ AppData\ Roaming\. The registry gets an uninstall key, plus a couple of keys for the app with path information. I copied the program's folder from my VM and it worked just fine in Win10 as-is.

Even if you already have the competitive InPaint by Teorex or other similar-functionality titles, it would not hurt to add this to your image/photo editing toolkit as an alternative for those cases where the others are not providing satisfactory results.

For those who want to know; the image replacement (cut and fill) area, to be best, requires a couple of layers that will allow a blend rather than a solid edge. The replacement seen on their web site it ok, but still the lines of the replaced area can still be seen. It depends on the needs of the quality of the finished one requires.
