66% thumbs down...? It would be nice if those giving a negative would comment as to why, so they could help the rest of us determine if this is something we would like to check out... But I'm guessing the limited 6-month licence (can it really be classified as a "giveaway"?) may have something to do with it (as opposed to its usual 14 day trial period). But if you'd like to know a bit more about it there's a helpful review here - http://www.davidsavage.co.uk/ascomp-image-former-review/ It seems to me that its most useful feature is the ability to rotate images by incremental degrees; I know I have a few that could use this, especially those that were taken from moving boats...! But the limited licence means I will be giving this a miss.

Gord, This has not been a 6-month license. And we are not forced to activate the software within 24 hours. The license information on this site in the read-me texts were both untrue. If Ascomp makes another offer in the future, consider this:
Within 24 hours, you need only to accomplish an entry of the offered software in your Ascomp account. After this, you have plenty of time to download the software. Now you got six months to download your software. The restriction of six months applies only for copying the setup to a local storage device of your computer. From there you can install the setup whenever you want. And you can activate the program whenever you want. The usage of it is not time limited. This means: It’s a perpetual license.

Otto, Well maybe you should have posted this at the beginning. This page says Licence Details: 6 months.

Every time you modify a picture, you take away: the authenticity, the beauty of the shadows, the depth, the blurriness in some parts add to the depth and volume of the picture and so on. If you like perfect picture, you probably like artificial pictures. This software will do that and more artificial light manipulations if you are into composed and not into natural pictures.

Mike, That's true if you're changing things in the picture. But, just trimming off a few pixels to straighten the image (what they bragged about in their description) shouldn't change the picture.
