These Apple-product-access utilities for Windows ONLY appear to work when Apple iTunes software is installed in Windows, loaded on screen, properly functioning according to Apple, and iTunes can 'see' the attached Apple i-product.

Tenorshare iCareFone functions failed for me, never showing, let alone transferring, my personal contents from iPhone to Windows / DOS.

Although I mostly want my music and books, it would be confidence inspiring if I could backup applications ( ne 'programs' ) ... but I can always re-download applications, so that's less important than getting all music and books.

Experiencing it's failures to backup my property ( music and books ), I do not trust Tenorshare iCareFone regarding it's other special functions of updating, recovery, fixing, and deleting advertisements.

Leawo iTransfer has worked for me, flawlessly.

Now that I have backed up my property using Leawo iTransfer, I may try the additional Tenorshare features, just to test them, before I wipe and reinstall my Apple products ( my secondary goal anyway, after archiving and redistributing my music and books ).

You can delete them. Or you can compress them. That depends on you.
Before deletion, please remember to backup it.

I installed without any problems but that was the end of it. It does not see my iPhone 4S. I bought a new cable in case that was the problem but it still does not see it. Went to the iCareFone web site and selected support. No information at all on what to do if it does not see the iPhone.
So at this stage it is no use to me at all...

Okay, WITH iTunes on-screen, and iTunes connecting to my iPhone or iPad, THEN Tenorshare seems to be able to 'see' the Apple product ...

... as if iTunes is a mini operating system, and Tenorshare is peeking through a sneaky little window opened by iTunes.

I got a little XLS spreadsheet saved to my computer from my iPhone contacts, that was nice.

That was it.

Nothing else worked.

Hours go by, and I see nothing but the spinning circle trying to backup, say, apps, our just trying to see music ( iTunes sees 1,365 songs, but with iTunes off, Tenorshare spins forever, with iTunes on, Tenorshare sees no music, just an empty Tenorshare ).

The 'remove ads' feature just show 'apps', so I'm afraid to click 'remove all ads' because I truly expect it to 'remove all apps' displayed.

I presume it's Apple that is phoning home constantly while Tenorshare runs.

A reason to use Tenorshare is to cut Apple's tentacles ...

... I guess the only way to cut Apple's tentacles is to shred the iPhone and iPad in a tree-cutter.

Does anyone have an avenue of resolution to make Tenorshare, when it fails, function as intended?

Painful.

I have 2 phones and an iPad, none show in this software.

The software should test and advise or fix the environment to make itself work.

For those who have it working, what is your environment, how and why does it work at all for you?

Maybe it's just me, maybe I need to eliminate Apple products from my life if they are so arduously incomprehensible and incompatible.

It is too bad that Tenorshare is not smarter than Apple in getting anything to work -- maybe no one is, including Apple.

( PS -- I just got 2 emails from Apple, the first telling me that my comment on their support board, where I solved a long-ignored problem in spite of Apple, was inappropriate and was deleted, the second email awarded me congratulations for helping out the Apple community. And that's the way all Apple crap works, or doesn't work. )

App uninstallation takes 10 times more time than doing it from Ipad itself.

The program worked fine for me. I did not have any glitches. I have tried many of the features and they all provided data without a problem. I do not know if the program does an accurate job with just my cursory review. I only briefly glanced at the help but it is easy to access.

Some general comments. I would like to see windows that opens with a scroll bar available have an option to change their size or maximize them. i.e. pictures, of which I have a lot on my phone, requires me to scroll because it only shows 10 at a time. I would like to see this screen be able to be maximized. I actually like the size of the picture displayed. If a variable size is offered, consider allowing it to work on a dual-monitor system like mine.

You offer a Music option. I have a number of audio files on my system that are generated by audio apps such as Voice Memos. I would like to see these saved also. In apps, you could put the number of apps found. I have a lot of apps and I am not sure if your program captured them all.

I clicked the Backup&Restore tab, after I went to Files Manager, and it took a long to load. I had previously performed a backup. After waiting a while, I changed my mind but found I could not leave the tab until it completed loading. Minor point but if I could change to another tab and not have to wait that would be nice. Right now, for me, it is frustrating. I guess if I were to read your help function it would tell what I actually backed up. I had a problem with Apple who told me something was backed up but it wasn't so I lost data.

The verification procedure is the dumbest rigamarole I have ever seen. I tried six or seven combinations that were presented to me and none of them worked.
In view of all the issues in the comments, I am deleting it.

Setup easy and registration number came by email in seconds.

Cleanup is rather baffling. The programs says it can clean up photos saving quite a bit of space but does not say what that clean up will be. Will it erase all my photos? First you scan and then the programs says to save this much space you can clean up these categories but gives no specifics. For example, I have many gb in 'large files' but do I dare clean them up? What ARE these files?

Ditto things like clean up photos and apps. If I clean up apps, do I save space by having no apps after?

The program works well and has a good UI but I have no idea what these categories of clean up will be. I expected a DETAILED list of what the program proposes to clean up

This software wants me to install itunes. I look for software of this type that lets me avoid itunes. Thanks anyway.

Exploro, the drivers for the iPhone is in the iTunes installer, hence why you are supposed to install iTunes. You can try unpacking the iTunes installer and installing just AppleMobileDeviceSupport6464. However, wanting to not install iTunes at all in order to use these products is just wishful thinking.

Had to try the math verification quite a few times before it actually went through. Took almost 26 minutes to receive the e-mail.

Well, I was able to install this. But iCareFone will not even start. There was a popup that says that "the software will stop working if the component haven't downloaded successfully." Why do I need to allow iCareFone to download "Driver.zip" from "host www.tenorshare.com"?

I already have 64-bit iTunes 12.4.2.4 (most recent) installed.

After some looking investigating I figured out why it needs to download "Drivers.zip". iCareFone may NOT be compatible with iTunes 12.4.2.4, and so it has to download older, outdated iTunes 12.1.0.71 .DLL files.

WARNING! This software is deceptive, if you choose "Quick Clean your Mobile!" it will DELETE Photos, Apps and other important files if you are not careful. This is very dangerous and very misleading. It says that I can do a "Safe Cleanup" of 16.59 GB, but it would remove everything from my device. That's not my idea of safe.

Another thing is that TenorShareService seems to always wants to communicate with "www.recover-iphone-contacts" and "ip-api-com" Is iCareFone borrowing my contacts information? I don't even have any contacts on my device. Not sure about this.

As for the "Ad Remover", for some games it is my understanding that watching an ad will give a player extras, such as coins or extra time. So ads should not be removed. Also removing the ads may or may not effect the usability of the app/game. But I am curious though on how they go about removing the ads from an app/game.

As for the Backups, like sothers, it did not work. Every time I did try to do one, I get the message "Oops! Tenorshare iCareFone will be closed. We feel sorry for any trouble caused." and then closes.

How long is the licesne accutually valid for? There is a big orange button to Upgrade "A new version with enhanced performance is available now. Could you like to update? Only $9.95." Unacceptable. Not much of a giveaway to me.

As always GOTD Team, thank you for your efforts in proving us giveaways. But I will be passing on this offer today. This software may do more harm than good if people are not careful.

Just a Very Concerned User Update, I have been playing around with iOS Beta for the last few weeks and was planning do a restore back down to iOS 9.3.3 this weekend.

Everything today was done on a clean restored device running iOS 9.3.3.

So I decided to try out iCareFone's File Manager by adding a few apps. It looked as if they both installed correctly, until I tried to launch the apps on my iPod and got the following error message...

"Unable to Verify App - A connection to the app store is required for the first launch of "App Name Here" on this iPod. Please connect to the internet and try again."

Since I do not have Wi-Fi at the moment, I would not be able to use any apps iCareFone installed. If I was in a hurry and tried this, boy I tell you I would be upset.

However on a side note, transferring music, videos and photos worked without any problems using iCareFone.

but this quote from Tenorshare "Transfer Music, Videos, Apps without iTunes Restriction" is kind of misleading. One does needs to have iTunes installed for iCareFone to function correctly.

I strongly believe extreme caution should be used if one does decide to install this software. Even better, simply stay clear. This software is just not ready for prime-time use. It can and will delete all apps, precious photos and other important files in order to keep the device optimized and clean if users are not careful.

I would like to remove or overwrite a certain sound wav file. For some reason ding.wav, which is the default to FB messaging (and apparently unchangeable), scares my dog. It's kinda funny, but it is very heartbreaking. Of course, I have my sounds off.

This program needs the "newest" itunes for it to work. I have to install the newest itunes, but it still give me the error message "Oopse! It seems you haven't installed the newest ITunes or no ITunes installed in your computer....."

ODD?!

I got the newest ITunes installed before ICareFone !! Buggy and worst iphone-ipad tools I've tried on GOTD!

Most HP printer software AND Windows 10 already provide this.

What differentiates this program from features already built in to my OS?

Even without the calculator I figured out 14 + 2 = 16, 14 + 14 = 28, 5 + 13 = 18 and on and on. I entered the correct answer a dozen times or more and it just changed the question. After the correct answer is entered, EXIT. Or at least verify with a "Thanks" or something. Asking me to trust my personal data to a company that can't make their website function correctly is a stretch.

OK. I visited their website five times total and entered all correct answers. I've waited over thirty minutes and got nothing. I guess it's time iCare met Revo. I'm not going to trust my personal information to sloppy code.
