Got the license key by email.
Applying the key I get message unable to connect to internet - close firewall and anti-virus protection and try again!
Seems very suspect. I turned off firewall - still did not work.
Internet is fine. Installing on XP.

as noted above, first run of program after install, (while using monitor softorganizer to note changes) would not allow registering.
After completing (finish) monitor process and running program again, i was able to reg without turning off firewall or anti-virus.
Seems something about monitor process prevented this earlier - first time I have seen this behaviour?

Registration requires email, so I used a one-time temporary email. The answer email containing the download location and serial has arrived almost immediately.
The registration is done via the key-image button. As usual, there is nowhere any indication if the program is registered or not. The buttons are also missing any displayed tip when the mouse hovers over them, so have to be clicked at least once to find their function.
The application window has a white background with almost no borders, so is difficult to pick up when displayed on top of a white background.
A keeper, in the hope of never needing it.

This software does not have much interest for me to recover erased files. Unlike RECUVA (free), no possibility to choose an isolated directory, it scans the entire disk - which means that it is very slow for a big disk.
Faced to a crash of hard disk system for example, it doesn't implement the possibility of creating an emercy repair disk (or bootable USB) - which limits its use.
In the latter case Lazersoft recovery (free) put in bootable usb, served me 2 times successfully.

In case of big hard drive problem that had become RAW for example, I tried a lot of recovery softwares without success except with the software "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard 5.8.5 Pro (not free) that got me back (in 3 days , it must be said) almost all 700 GB of my hard drive.It is an old version, but the new version had failed to do the job.
Now, I regularly make backups with aomei-backupper free that I also recommend. It is much better than to try to recover system or hard drive failure.

Detenova, Thanks for your interesting comment. However, I would like to point one small error, you mentioned recovering erased files ... I assume you meant deleted files as erased and deleted files are two different animals. Deleted files can be recovered, if they are not corrupted, erased files cannot be recovered as all their data is overwritten with other characters to make it impossible to recover them. Just sayin'
