I want it because its based on GIF. At most forums etc, captured videos or video upload in general is not accepted or regulated to one video per post or so - so if I want do a tutorial with more as one step then I have no other chance as to use image files or a animated gif. I already have great tools for video capture, but its always good to have more as one option.

Installed nice and quickly, but there's a hyperlink in the top right hand corned stating "Offer: Purchase Lifetime License for $9.90"
I thought that the offer was supposed to be for a Lifetime License?
What am I missing here?

The free lifetime version has a time limited installation on it. If you need to reinstall your OS for whatever reason or try to put it on another computer, it won't install. There are probably no future updates included in this offer. The license version will give you updates and you can install it as many times as you want.

Some bulletin boards or other websites won't let you upload movie file extensions (e.g. avi mp4, mpeg mkv etc.) In those situations, using an animated gif comes in quite handy to bypass that. I've seen this one time on a forum where they did this and it looked great in HD quality. The only thing was they didn't use this program but rather a freeware program called ShareX.
