Do you want to keep your cloud sync folder data safe while you are away from your PC? This 'Hide Cloud Drive' product hide sync folder and Tray Icon of cloud drive. It also protects your files by hiding the Desktop, Documents and Pictures folders.
Features
* You can apply the "Deny Access" or "Read Only" policy for the selected cloud drives.
* When "Deny Access" policy is selected, the cloud sync-folder is inaccessible and the Tray Icon and shortcut disappear. As a result, others can not access Cloud Drive.
* You can also apply "Deny Access" or "Read Only" policies to the Desktop, Documents, Pictures folder.
* This applies to the Cloud Drive displayed in Explorer, not to Cloud in the Web Browser.

"Hide Cloud Drive" Product Description

Note: This product is only available to users who using Google Drive, One Drive, and DropBox's agent for Windows.
Purpose: Even if Cloud Drive is log off, Synced folders will still appear in the PC. So to prevent accidentally opening these folders, you can hide this Sync folder or change it to the Read Only property.
Provided functions:
1. Hide the Sync folder or change it as read-only folder.
2. Hide the cloud agent's traybar Icon.
Limitation: This only applies to the window cloud agent. It does not affect the WEB cloud system that works in Browse.
(mean, this applies to the cloud drive displayed in Explorer, not to cloud in the Web Browser.)

xSecuritas, would I be right in saying that what todays program does can be done in your first giveaway "Secure PC" and may use exactly the same filter driver but with a dedicated user interface customised for the subset of local sync folders for those specific cloud storage services.
So those that already have the secure PC could just specify rules to hide or otherwise protect those local cloud sync folders? And by doing so they may save a little resources instead of installing both programs on the same machine which *might* conflict?

TK, you are right. The logic to set the sync folder as hide or read only is the same as the "Secure PC" product. We use same driver on "Secure PC". This function is also possible with "Secure PC".
The following features are added:
1. The sync folder location was obtained from the cloud agent's local DB or registry. Of course, user can change the location of the sync folder, so we check periodically to see if the location has changed.
2. Remove trayIcon of cloud agent.

OK, I am not a happy camper. Downloaded and installed. Got serial number, activated and things looked fine. Went out, came back turn on computer..WTH..all, except recycle bin, desktop shortcuts are gone..all shortcuts on taskbar..gone!
So I did a powerful uninstall, which restored the desktop but had to manually replace taskbar. This should not touch desktop..it is not in a cloud! Even my Onedrive had to be re-configured!

DJ, Oh.... We apologize for the inconvenience.
But this is policy. You can change "Desktop", "Document" and "My picture" folder to hide or read-only in the policy. And when "Hide Cloud Drive" becomes log-off state (idle time has elapsed), this policy is applied.
You can remove this policies from the "Hide Cloud Drive" window.
(right click tray icon, and after main window is displayed, you can change policies)
(Hide feature is disabled by defualt.)

xSecuritas, Why is it policy for my desktop? It is not in the cloud. Not only that but it messed up my password manager. What good is removing desktop shortcuts, when they are all in sidebar?? And removing taskbar shortcuts?
It's fine to hide any cloud related items that are in cloud storage, but leave the desktop/taskbar and browsers alone. It serves no real useful purpose other than annoy.

DJ, Thank you for feedback. First, "Hide Cloud Drive" product hide the "Desktop", "Documents" folder because OneDrive synchronizes files on Desktop when files are written to the desktop folder.
Of course, "hide the desktop" is an option.
And hiding shortcuts will cause problems like you, so we'll remove this feature.
