Version 2.0.3.5 is available for download; minor fixes. I installed using the same registration information as before and it says "goCRM Full Version" on the status bar at the bottom.

#166 - Thanks for the information that this program is incompatible with Vista. Very true...I also got the windows explorer error every time I attempted to get into any control panel menu. After an uninstall of this program, the problem disappeared. Not a big loss, as though this program looked promising, I probably would never have found a use for it.

as far as the voucher and key problem goes, i requested this morning (by email) a reg as they were not accepting the code yesterday, and i was in europe so i couldnt wait till it was solved.
and they (support) were honorable enough to give me a free reg, even though the time period had ended.
so, in that respect, good response to whatever it was from goCRM.

Lots of problems the next day, would log, found they have downloaded a separate server in my program files beside the own folder. Needs a lot of adjustments to conform with the USA standard of business practice. Uninstalled easily on both programs

I got to the page that said that the email was sent but nothing got to my hotmail account, junk,inbox, whatever. I sent nice letter to support@goCRMsoftware.com within the 12 hours and still got nothing. A friend of mine who is on the same intranet, but with a different company got his to work. His email was at yahoo, mine at hotmail. Maybe they just don't send codes to hotmail accounts!

I thought I got in just under the wire (11:45pm PDT Wed), was able to download and install, but NEVER got the code from GoCRM. Too bad, might have been a very valuable piece of software...what happened?

I find it funny that GOTD visitors still trip over the registration process...(1) Read page (2) Download file (3) Extract file from zip (4) Read the Readme file (5) Either get unlock code first then run the setup or (option b) Run setup , then activate.(7) For guaranteed email delivery create a new email address just for GOTD registration.

and yes, the program was awesome, this office geek is HAPPY. Tested it today.

Their Customer Support did come through with the keys (at least for me), so I applaud them...

But this software has a problem that I had encountered that had put my PC down for most of yesterday!

I had installed the "Power Phone Book" from April 15th and didn't reboot my PC right away (I am one of those people who leaces it running for days at a time). I had to reboot for another reason on Tuesday night and when I did I started to get the error "Windows Explorer has stopped responding" over and over again. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium and the Firebird database installed with that software turned out to be the culprit. I kep getting this message until I finally was able to uninstall the program and the Firebird database.

According to the web site of Firebird (http://www.firebirdsql.org/), the 1.5 version of the database is not Windows compatible.

There is a page that makes me think that the 2.01 version is compatible, but I don't know if this software has been run with that version of the database. I had to dig for this on the Firebird site, so I'm not sure where exactly it said it anymore.

When I installed this last night (very late) - I thought when I saw the Firebird that it would at least show if this had in fact been the real problem. Sure enough, I started having the same problem this morning, until I uninstalled the Firebird database.

GoCRM looks like a good software (maybe great, but I didn't get to use it much), but I can't have this problem on my machine - so I have had to uninstall it.

Customer support for goCRM has been awesome.

Ha ha ha...I don't think I will get the registration sent...I thought I registered it when I opened it. Now, I find I have to go to the website...I didn't want to say this earlier because I wanted to compose myself first...AAAAARRrrrrrrrrrGGGGGGgggghhHHhhhhhhhh!

Registration wasted 45 minutes of my time. Registration failed. I never got an e-mail sent to my hotmail or gmail account.

Yahoo! and MSN (Hotmail) apparently trashed the registration emails; finally got it in my Gmail account in the Spam folder. You can register more than once with the same information, but only if you use different e-mail addresses. I tried changing my e-mail forwarding, but it wouldn't let me re-use that alias. If communication with the company is going to be a problem, that would diminish the value of the software.

Serials for people that entered the details correctly are being sent out.

This software is awesome. I have been looking for something like this. It will help me in my business with follow up phone calls, multi-stage marketing campaigns, and a host of other tasks. Thank you GOATD! Also, had no problems installing or registering. Just followed the directions.

I accidently registered 3 times....
1 dumb error in the email, and 1 correct email, but hotmail was bouncing the emails, so I switch to my ISP email and it worked.

does everyone get a different code?

I also have never gotten an email. I tried to do it again and it says "it appears you have already purchased a license" and doesn't let me redo it. I could have really used this program from the looks of it.

The problem now is that I will not the get the email now and the time is running out to install this program. I can't just resend the information because it shows me already being registered.

Install and registration on the website went fine.
Can't get the sample working though. Says "Unknown user. Please enter a valid username". When I enter my username I get an unfilled database. I could really use the samples to help understand the program and its possibilities. It'll take a bit longer now, but I'll work it out.

I downloaded/registered an hour ago and have STILL not received the code needed to install the program. I'm guessing at this point, I'm not going to get one :(

The only problem I had with the registration was my own fault. I forgot to type in the voucher code as instructed - see comment #46.

I got a VERY quick e-mail response from support, which fixed my problem. That impressed me! Plus, the inclusion of support and upgrades - very generous!

From a quick look at the functionality, I'm favorably impressed with this product as a viable option for small businesses. Sure, it looks to have some "rough edges". F'rinstance the pound vs. dollar sign, and different country address formats. But I am confident that Midnightstar will appreciate feedback and be making upgrades!

I have decided that I won't download and install any software that:

1) Asks for personal information in any form or fashion.
2) It is not the best and latest version the company has to offer.

No GAOTD fell into that category until Inconmedia came around. I hope this is not becoming a trend.

Problems with this software:

Unless stated somewhere else, I couldn't:

Do rate jobs (as in pay/hour)
The money is in euros
Adding jobs and trying to get the groups to work is a pain in the @$$

As a company that offers "labour" I find it really hard to make it so the app understands this. I don't need Purchase Orders, I just want it to work in the way that I want it to.

I just contacted GoCRM to find out what happened to the voucher code, give us some time to sort things out.

This looks like very useful software if you have a use for it. As my "business" is strictly with the ladies, I can't use it. But a few of my buds that I turned onto this site have already told me it looks like a winner for them. Don't need it myself 'cuz I'm always either at the gym or on the town.

Chris @ goCRM (#89): Consider yourself lucky--you only have to put up with the mindless morons who come here for one day. Us GOTD'ers have to listen to them 24/7. The instructions for registering are right at the top of this page!!! They can't read or follow simple instructions, but we're supposed to believe that they're running a business!!! I'm throwing my head back and laughing as I type this so excuse any errors.

the sad part is that the goCRM team has to come here to fix problems....people i installed it perfectly fine and had no trouble registering....first WAIT at least 5 min for the email....second make sure you follow the readme.txt perfectly.

Easy to install if you follow the directions. However, I have 2 questions: 1) don't see how to import an existing Excel database, even though I see an option to export it to Excel; 2) I assume if you edit the "labels" report to fit, say, standard Avery mailing labels, you can easily do a run of mailing labels to all (or selected) contacts?

Once again "Thanks but No Thanks" the majority of posters seem to be experiencing problem & I for one can do without the hassle etc? May be good for a few who want to keep track of their Weekly Grocery Account if one cannot use for Commercial Applications LoL.

@65 What a stupid comment. The reason software like this exists is that most people don't have millions of pounds to spend on your sort of software. If I were a multi-national company then maybe yes... oh and Vantive isn't even supported any more (look up Vantive on Wikipedia), at least this one is :). If your comment was to be seen as valid, why aren't we all driving Ferraris or Rolls Royces instead of Fords? Also how are Act!, and Goldmine etc managing to survive so well? They are a few hundred pounds rather than millions? CRM can be done on the "cheap" as you say... it depends on your definition of "cheap".

On to the software, looks good so far, but importing existing contacts (that aren't from Outlook) needs more work. I have a CCSV file from an Act! 6 database but it won't import at all. This basically means that unless you are starting a new business, or are currently using Outlook as your CRM (not sure anyone would???) you will need to start from scratch and add everyone in by hand. My database is well over 500 companies now with several contacts in each... no way am I going to copy all those by hand!

Other than that, it looks a competent piece of software (even if it is cheap at £0)

i just downloaded it, recieved my email with the regCode in less than 30 seconds, and registered it....

i think activation was straightforward...and this is a nice app...I 've studied Microsoft CRM (whcih is way more complete than this but also more costly) and other CRM-Marketing tools and this looks pretty interesting...
