I’ve four older ‘simple’ but very addictive games for you this weekend, and one which is much newer but also very addictive to play! If you haven’t played any one or more of these before, you’re missing out on a treat!
Cave of No Return 3.2Mb
"In this game you take the role as a young girl whose task it is to seek the most inner chamber of 'The Cave of No Return'. Her cause is clouded by mystery, but yet, you are there to help her."
Cave of No Return is just that. The cave crumbles behind you and if you don’t keep moving fast or faster (!), the crumbling cave will catch up with you depositing tons of rock in the process. You have to duck under and jump over various obstacles, all the while jumping from platform to platform. Just keep running and jumping or running and crouching! The aim of course is to get as far into the cave as you can and hence get the maximum points! The game is in monochrome, with retro graphics and music but who cares, it’s the gameplay that counts!
‘Enter’ key to start a game, ‘Esc’ key to quit, spacebar on score table or ‘left’ arrow key to restart. 'Up/Down' arrow keys to jump/crouch. Note that crouching and sliding also produces a much needed speed boost. The caves are generated at random, and there’s the option to upload that online mega-high score, . . . if you get ‘that’ far, that is! Local high-scores are recorded per session too.
This game is plain hard! Can you get that new high score? Just make one mistake, and you start over again!
The size of the game window can be changed by pressing the plus or minus keys on your keyboard.
Naturally, it’s a lot of fun!
