Bomb Blast 3D 3.2Mb
Bomb Blast 3D is another game based on Nintendo's classic Bomberman. As in the original game, you put bombs in strategic places in order to pave the way, kill enemies, get items and find the exit door from the map.
In this Czech version, be very careful when increasing the power of the bombs, each time they get stronger, the more difficult it becomes to escape them. However, the explosions only go sideways, up, and down. The simple way to protect yourself is to stay on the diagonal away from the explosion.
The 3D part of the name is a bit of a misnomer, as it's only the cut-scenes in the game that are 3D, but it doesn't stop it being a great game!
Before you can exit through the door, look out for the red button (put a bomb on it), the button turns green, you can then proceed to the door to the next map.
Bomb Blast 3D offers three maps in different environments, the possibility of a multiplayer game two players against each other on one PC, or a single player, where the player must pay attention to the maze of monsters.... Gameplay despite the three-dimensional isometric cut-scenes design has remained the same: the maze is viewed from above, the main character runs around and puts a bomb against destructible walls, classically gets bonuses to reach the flames which can be laid at once, and so on . . .
Bomb Blast 3D has come off quite well in terms of graphics; control of character can be a bit sensitive but is easy to get used to. As with most Bomberman type games, you move part spaces at a time so you have to judge getting out of the way carefully!
Mouse/or arrow/Enter keys in menu. Arrow keys to move, ‘right ctrl’ key to place bombs. ‘Esc’ key to leave game to return to menu.
The menu is partly in Czech but is easy to navigate. The graphics are great, and there’s good music, as well. Gameplay differs in that there are a number of enemies that ‘partly’ chase after you, and don’t place bombs. It’s a good fun implementation!
The game setup is also partly in Czech, but navigates as normal, daisi=next, beru na vidomi= agree, yes to create folder, start to proceed with setup.
It would have been an even greater game if gameplay itself was isometric too, but it follows the more traditional top-down Bomberman style while actually playing the game and is full-screen, up to 1280x1024/32 resolution.
I’ve included the game despite language ‘problems’ as it’s a good game to play! Zacit Hau= single player, Nastaveni=screen resolution, Nova Haa= begin new game and Pokracovat=continue, though there’s not many menu choices, and it’s easy enough to try them anyway!
There’s a separate easy to use map editor included, and option 3 loads maps in game.
