I just tried to install this game twice but every time several dialog boxes pop up and say sound file bad. then a black window pops up and then explorer says egyptoid 2 stopped working. I really want this game. can someone help? thanks.

Try installing the Demo from Star Ashs, but make sure you install to a different place than the giveaway version (I presume you are talking a previous giveaway from last year?)
Then back up the giveaway version (i.e. make a full copy and store in a separate folder then try swapping the audio/sound files from the demo to the giveaway version. See if it fixes the problem.
If that doesn't work, try swapping the giveaway executable for the demo executable and see if the demo becomes the full version. If neither of those suggestions work, you'll have to wait until Egytptoid 2 is given away again.
