wizz,
Thank you so much - you certainly are a wizzard!!
Any idea where I can get a decent car for free? (Thought it was worth a chance!)

Well, I just finished Iji...VERY good game, with and awesome storyline and gameplay/leveling system. Now my current platformer is Cave Story.
The best package deal is right here ---> http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001Q24UAM/ref=ox_ya_oh_product You can't go wrong buying that. Over 20 games for less than $1.00 a game.
Yesterday I played Princess Izabella-A Witch's curse that I got from gamehouse.com. A great game, but I think it could be longer.
Right now I just started playing "The Conjurer".. it's a HOG, and does NOT have a timer (which is right up my alley). But it goes pretty smoothly so thought I'd let y'all know about it.
I gave up on Alabama Smith: The Quest of Fate. Too much back & forth stuff to remember and find, so I deleted that one.
I just finished Call of Atlantis, which reminds me a lot of Around the World in 80 Days (80 Days is free from Gametop.com, but watch out for flying toolbars and browser hijacks!). Both games are match-3, but better than most. I think the same team worked on both, judging by the graphics and storylines. Call of Atlantis is the better of the two, because it varies the action with some hidden object/puzzle levels, kind of like 4 Elements. I didn't get the bonus levels on Atlantis: it looked like that was next, but I needed to quit, and when I went back, I was back at the beginning again. So I'm waiting to finish 80 Days until I have time to investigate the (alleged!) bonus levels at the same time. Neither game has a relaxed mode, but Atlantis does seem to give a bit more time than 80 Days does.
My next game is going to be Plants vs. Zombies. I've played a couple of trial rounds, and just laughed so much. Tower defense is not usually my favorite type of game, but this one is... just... indescribable!
Michelle, thanks for the Amazon link. I just ordered mine from a Marketplace seller. And someone just posted a review that includes a list of all the games included, 25 in all.
I just played one called "Hidden Magic", but didn't care for it too much so I deleted it, and didn't care for one called "Elementals: The Magic Key". Did just finish and enjoyed playing "Valerie Porter and the Scarlet Scandal", and now just started "1912 - The Titanic Mystery" which seems to go pretty smoothly. It has a relaxed mode, and the pictures are clear enough that you can actually find the hidden objects!
Thanks copmom - Will have a go at 'Valerie Porter and the Scarlet Scandal' next. At the moment though, 'Escape the Museum 2' is all the go here!
Delilah
I enjoy it too. It is such a great value and if I didn't get it I wouldn't have tried any other hidden onject games. I was playing the wrong ones, but with this it actually had a few that I liked.
Delicious - Emily's Holiday Season (got that haven't played it yet though)
Luxor Adventures-http://www.gamehouse.com/download-games/luxor-adventures (this is a great game and it comes with Luxor 3 free. It is a hidden object game with puzzles. That was a very good value. I bet the Hidden Object game and am playing Luxor 3 (great game. Luxor 3 has great graphics and cool music.
Amazing Adventures-http://www.gamehouse.com/download-games/amazing-adventures-special-edition (great value) two HOG games one low price. It is two Hog games with puzzles. They just released a new Adventure (that isn't on it) but it still is worth the low price.
I was just looking at a new HOG game today. http://www.gamehouse.com/download-games/jewel-quest-mysteries-trail-of-the-midnight-heart
I think it is funny that Luxor made a HOG and now Jewel Quest in a such short amount of time. At least the people who made Luxor gave you Luxor 3 with it. It doesn't look like you get any Jewel Quests with this HOG. I already have one (on those disks that come with over twenty games on it. A really good value that was other than that I don't have any Jewel Quests.
http://www.freeridegames.com/do/index (these people have a lot of games if you don't mind the advertisements). I think they use like half of the screen when you are playing, but if you don't have the money and want to play at least it's something to consider. I am not joking or being sarcastic. The ads take up a lot of space. I downloaded I think Doggie Dash from there before before I got it from Real and there were loads of advertisements on the screen. I uninstalled after about five minutes.
Be aware that freeridegames have red WOT warning.
Just tried a couple of games that start with "Hdo Adventure" .. it's SO hard to find anything on them because of their artwork! Deleted them!
Am now playing "The Return of Monte Cristo", and that's a pretty good one!
Copmom,I am playing a hidden adventure one that I bought AGES ago from Bigfish(for 299!) It's the Amazon one; I am LOVING it but YES the things are QUITE hard to find..my eyes are going a funny shape from peering so hard at the computer screen..lol!
I HAD the Monte Christo game (the ad supported one from Gamehouse and lost it months ago when I didn't think to back it up on my second hard drive so when I deleted a newer free game from them it went too)
I had played about the first chapter and really liked it even though it was a bit dark..
I really like when game developers include a "relaxed version" or don't bother with a timer at all..
Maybe Gamehouse will bring it back!
Michelle, that Amazon bundle is very enticing!
I am very tempted...
thanks for posting the link!
:)
I finished the Monte Cristo one.. good game. Now I have one called Garden Scapes. A bit silly.. have to refill your money to buy things to make a pretty garden by selling things at a yard sale.. and that's where you have to find the objects you're selling to get the money.
I have 5 others on here that I'll play next, but found it's best to play just one at a time so I don't mix up where to get extra hints and rules for each of them.
===========================
Hey.. we've got white stuff falling from the sky this morning! Just starting to stick!
I got the new Amazing Adventure the other day off gamehouse, but haven't played it yet.
Yes, the bundle is enticing and you can get both of them for $6.99 if you join funticket. It wouldn't be that enticing I don't think if you payed $19.99. If you use a funticket it costs $0.00. I used a funticket and got it for $0.00, but the new one I paid for I had to pay for because I had no funtickets left.
It is $6.99 plus tax if you are a member and you want an extra game.
I just got this http://www.gamehouse.com/download-games/mystery-pi-special-edition-bundle (great deal too). Two games in one.
I decided to get Murder She Wrote(as it looked like a fun game) so am a big fish member for free(they offered this which was nice) until the 5th of January..
(so the tempatation to get more games will be there..lol...)
I didn't realise that it was such a big file but it is downloading quickly(guess all the kids in the neighbourhood are out shopping!)
Guess I will be busy this afternoon!
:)
Is that guy supposed to be dead laying on the bed? I don't think Gamehouse has it yet. I wish gamehouse would start getting in games faster.
Yes he is!
No I checked first at Gamehouse before deciding.
Yes it seems that Bigfish gets the big games first but I am sure that Gamehouse will too.
It is a fun game and I like that the scenes are clear(plus there are plenty of little "tasks" which make it fun!
Princess Izabella-A Witch's Cuse is fun. If you are in to time management games. Wendy's Wellness (although not the best timemanagement game I played) in this game it has its own mini game section. These mini games are played throughout the game and can be played at any time by selecting mini games on the main screen. I think there are like 12 of them. The further you get the more mini games you unlock. I am on level 48 (I have been on level 48 for a couple weeks). The game is not too challenging but towards the end it definitely gets harder. Although I really can't stand the sound in the game, but it is a good game.
I though I'd resurrect this thread:
At the moment I'm playing the following ggames:
1) ...ArmA II
2) ...Killing floor
3) ...Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
4) ...Dead Island
5) ...Left 4 Dead 2
6) ...Flatout Ultimate Carnage (in preperation for the release of Flatout 3: Choas & Destruction
7) ...Dead Rising 2: Off the Record
8) ...King Arthur: The roleplaying Game
9) ...Shogun 2: Total War
10) ...Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
11) ...plus several indie games such as AaAAaaAAAaa:A Reckless Disregard for Gravity and Ricochet Infinity
Recently bought the new Batman game, but not got enough space on my Steqm drive to install it at the moment. Just about to finish my new build so will probably be playing that as well very soon. :)
Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen, a HOG game, so far so good!
Let's see. Right now I am checking out Christmas presents for the kids.. Your Doodles Are Bugged, The Creatures Trilogy. Still beta testing Saturated Dreamers. Plus I am playing parts of the last 3 bundles I bought..before the next 3 comes out... Still haven't finished Portal. For when I just want to relax..Bejeweled 3 Butterflies, Sky Bubbles and Proun.
I'm playing Roads of Rome 3 and My Kingdom for the Princess 3, although I keep going back to both 1 and 2 of these Time Management games. Also the Farm Mania series and the two Island Tribes games plus the beta of Island Tribes 3 which I understand is coming soon. All TM games. The 3 games I have gone back to more than any though over years in the case of the first 2, are Sherlock, a logic game, Gamehouse's Skip Bo, and Solitaire Kingdom Supreme, the last 2 because I can have my MP3 player blasting in my ears while playing card games and I don't need to hear the noise of the game. This is generally late at night when I can't sleep and I'm lying in bed with my laptop on my chest.
Nola, tried to PM you but it says your box may be full
:)
Well right now, I think I'm hooked on http://eveonline.com/ (having just renewed for 3 months - just 3 days into my 21 day free trial).
(But I'm sure I'll be going back to "Killing Floor" on Steam to check out the new content).
Totally off topic everyone, sorry about that !
Stephen, I have tried to PM you, only have one PM in my box, but I'm being told that either my outbox (whatever that is) or your inbox is full. I have sent an email to the last email address you gave me, can you look out for it?
haha sorry Nola, I though I'd cleared enough space to receive more PM's. Will email you soon
:)
To BuBBy:
I signed up for the free trial as well, but as yet haven't had the time to play the game. Eve is definitely one of those games I'd love to try; it just that there has been a plethora of great games released over the past three months and I'm still way behind playing most of them. From all of the videos and images I've looked at over the last few years it's become a very appealing looking game. I just don't like the subscriptions. I know one guy for example whose spent a small fortune on World of Warcraft. I suppose a few monthly payments to get some game time in is okay.
