   This is a brilliant offer. I can say without prejudice (lol) that Fallout 3 is one of 2008's biggest games. I couldn't stop playing it for weeks and clocked up over 200 hours of playing time in just the first two weeks and still hadn't scratched the surface (well almost). The deal coincides with Fridays PC release of official content that includes The Pitt (Pittisburg). It's been out for some time on XBox and Playstation. There will be more later this summer. Also there's a growing community of Fallout 3 modders and loads of mods to be found to expand on the already rich game. If you're strapped for cash, and can only afford one game in the next few months this should the one you choose. It was developed by Bethesda who also created Oblivion. In fact they have used the same games engine to build Fallout 3.

   You'll require the Steam client, and an account (both of which are free) before you can purchase the game.

   Steam just flagged up yet another amazing bargain from 2K games. You can get all of the following for only £35.99

It's an amazing bargain that I'd definitely buy myself except I have virtually all of the titles apart from the Railroad ones, Shattered Union and the X-COM pack, (which are a little too dated for me). I may buy Railroad Tycoon 3 and Shattered Union though.

   I'm just flabbergasted at the game bargains that are appearing of late. These guys must be desperate for money to sell so many great games so cheap. The Civilization IV set is worth that alone, then Bioshock with Shattered union. Apparently you're saving over £100 at present day prices. (though if you counted up how much they cost when they were originally released you're talking hundreds of pounds)

   There are some amazing bargains available via Steam this weekend. You can get 75% off Men at War (£6.25 approx $10) Velvet Assassin for 50% off at £14.99/$23 and also X3: Team Conflict or Team Conflict and Reunion for 50% off (£11.49 /$18 or £14.99/$23 respectively. Then there’s Aces of the Galaxy a colourful 3D space shooter with a massive galaxy to explore, The Space Quest collection and Kings Quest collection, both of which are retro games, and a great FPS called Timeshift and a 3D MiniGolf Adventure, all of which are around £7.50/$11 each. There’s an excellent Crazy Machines like game called Bad Rats: the Rats’ Revenge for only £3.49/$5 (It’s a little gory and cat lovers will probably be shocked), and there’s a great tower defence game called Monster Mash for around the same price. You’ll find several other bargains as well. For example, most of Paradox Interactives games are half Price as well. these include Mount & Blade, Supreme Ruler 2020, Kings Bounty: The Ledgend, Sword of the Stars, Hearts of Iron III, Europa Universalis III Complete, Hearts of Iron II Complete, Elven Legacy, Knights of Honor, Penumbra Black Plague Gold edition, Penumbra Collectors Pack, plus more. These weekly bargains are going to take my bank account into the red, lol.

   Yet another brilliant week for deals on Steam. Warhammer 40 000 Dawn of War II, all the Company of Heroes games as well as earlier Warhammer games plus Full Spectrum Warrior and it's sequel Ten Hammers.

   Just go to the Steam shop tab on your Steam client to start checking all the deals.
