   I thought I'd post this here just in case the game giveaway team weren’t aware that both games from the last giveaways ended four hours early, so only ran for 20 hours instead of the usual 24hours. Was this a mistake and will both games be run for the extra four hours at a later date.

   I ask so that I can inform those who missed the games that they may yet get an opportunity. Thanks.

   If you missed the game because of this issue please post a short comment so that we can judge whether it would be worth the team pursuing some extra time. Thank you; (though this may have no effect on the outcome).

   I noticed that the latest game giveaway had ended earlier than announced. I tried googling that particular page and then I clicked on the blue 'cached' hyperlink and was able to access the download from there.

   As happens, I got one of the games affected a split-second before the early time-out. As the activation successful screen came up it said game no longer available much to my surprise given supposed to be 4 hours to go!

   I am sure this was a one-off mistake, though I hope of course it has been investigated to find out what happened and why, so it doesn't happen next time!

   Looks like the problem hasn't yet been fixed- today's Egyptoid currently has 8 hours (+ minutes) to go, while the main giveaway has 12+.

   Well, this is not a bug and not a glitch or problem.
   The games are announced for the shorter time from the outset.

   Lills is available as a Giveaway of the day! You have ... hours ... minutes to download and install it.

   Though it would have been nice, if there would have been a warning in the blog.

   Of course the obvious needs to be stated - don't leave it until the last minute if possible.

   Even if the giveaway (for whatever reason) is only going to be running for 18 or 20 hours - there are lots of reasons why things can happen. But if you can't or won't - feel free to join the official "GOTD Procrastinators Club" - we will probably be accepting applications tomorrow... or more likely later in the week... sometime.

   I think becasue it wasn't announced it's possibly a mistake by the game giveaway Team. They have probably put in a 20 hour limit as opposed to 24.

   I agree, there's still 20 hours to download this software. There can't be many community members that can't make it withing that time even those on the West Coast. :)

   I've Skyped a message to one of the Gamegiveaway team with the problem. Hopefully it will get sorted soon.
