I am having problems like many here, trying to register.
I paste my code in the box and click “OK”. The register box says it is not responding then I get a popup saying “Internet Failure, check my setting and try again.” If my internet was failing, I could not post here. Frustrating.

Try rebooting your modem and/or router. If that doesn't work reboot your computer.

Make sure that IE is online because iCare insists on InternetExplorer.

OK - I got a different reply - It now says that the information I entered is incorrect.
I tried copy/paste and I tried typing it in. I did make sure that I did not have a space before or after the code when doing the copy/paste.I do appreciate the help. Out of all the GOTDs I have gotten. I have never had a problem registering them.

I still have not been able to register this software.
I have turned my computer off and back on.
I have rebooted my modem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software three times.
Then did the above three again and again.
I am now back at the beginning. It is saying that I have internet failure which I do not.
I do have IE open.Posted 12 years ago # -
Hi jcdramey,
I've experienced similar issues in the past - and the problem (for me) was that my firewall and anti-virus programs were causing the problem, as sometimes these types of programs may create obstacles for software downloads.
If you have a particularly aggressive firewall or anti-virus program, temporarily de-activating them may solve the problem - and you can always re-activate them after download and installation.
In my case, Zone Alarm was the culprit, and I eventually had to completely uninstall it, as it was creating major problems for me during downloads, even when it was temporarily de-activated.
This may or may not resolve your specific issue, but it's an idea that may help.

Thank you Inas, I will try that.

Inus, that didn't work either.

Well - for Vista and Win7 my last guess is the right-click-administrator for setup and the first start of the programme.
Of course you could ask the developer for help, some developers are helpful and answer, though there is no support for the giveaways.Good luck.

I can not install Icare Data Recovery. After setup the message "giveaway period is over for this software, please check our website for a new giveaway" appears in my desktop.but still had time to perform the installation.

You said you rebooted, but did you clear the caches too? And delete the GOTD cookies.

Hi aeroaries, I have no problems to download the programme, the GOTD download is still online.
Clear the internet cache, the temp-files and the download cache. Delete the GOTD cookies, and start over.---EDIT---
Ooops - as I tried to install the programme again, I got the same error pop-up.
It seems there is a problem...
If GOTD has cancelled the giveaway, I'm sure we will get a message about it.Watch the comments and the blog.
My day is over for now - nite-nite :)
