Do note that at the moment the Intel AppUp application is presently only directly compatible with Windows XP Home 32 bits SP 3 (with .net framework 3.5 SP1) (English only)
Windows XP Professional 32 bits (with .net framework 3.5 SP1) (English only)
Windows 7 Starter 32 bits (English only)
Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bits (English only)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits (English only)
Windows 7 Professional 32 bits (English only)
Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bits (English only).
It may or may not run in other versions of Win 7. It is not compatible with Vista.
In any event it also requires that you have .Net 3.5 with .Net 3.5 SP1 installed before it will run correctly. Download and install the correct version of these, 32-bit or 64-bit from Microsoft download centre. If the installer doesn't run, you already have .Net 3.5 SP1 installed.
Install Adobe ARM 2.5 if not already installed.
If the Intel AppUp store says still says no port available read Intel Support for AppUp HERE as well as rebooting before trying AppUp.
I run Win 7 Ultimate 32-bit, and got AppUp to run by going to the AppUp bin folder and right clicking on each .exe and setting the compatibility tab to XP SP3 and checking the 'run as administrator box' for each program. (Location Path C:\Program Files\Intel\intelAppStore\bin - There are 10 exes you need to do this for!).
Hope this is helpful. :)
