   Galaxian 2007: (1.82Mb)

   

   Galaxian, the one and only arcade shooter. Every retro fan will feel warm and fuzzy when thinking back on this game. This is a must play for die-hard retro gaming fans and more so for Shmup fans.

   I initially had problems running it in Win7, so right clicked and selected XP service pack 2 and it worked first time. It also worked first time in XP with SP3 as well. I haven’t tested it in vista yet, but I suspect you may need to play it in compatibility mode.

   Key Bindings

   If you find the key bindings are not for you, you can change them by going to the options menu and clicking on the ones you want to change.

   You get three lives and power ups drop to allow you to upgrade your weapons. This is not the easiest of shmups.

   Galaxians was one of my all time favorite console games, so this one is really very well-appreciated! Thanks WR! :)

   Runs directly in my Win 7 as is.

   I took it out of compatibility and it now works. This is an excellent remake of the original. I'm looking forwards to exploring it further. :)

   ah, if only it could be rotated 90 degrees... though putting stuff on the right helps the feel.
