Odd - six months ago another well known giveaway site reviewed it, and gave it a good rating, users gave it an 81% approval rating. Now it's got a much lower rating by GOD users.

Do not understand all the negative comments here.

Lately I have also been alarmed at the increasing number of companies with products where price and quality do not seem to relate.
Either these companies have no genuine wish to expand their range of clientele or they live in another world.
Having said that my attitude is to give such products a wide berth because I am not prepared to act as their guinea pig.
All too obviously an era has come to an end.
A good, enhanced file cleaner would be worth the money which FileCleaner Pro evidently is not. By enhanced I understand finding file duplicates (not system files) but user generated files which can clog drives.

So sorry, but once again cannot speak of experience with the application but by augmenting the general consenus on the current situation here hope to wake up some software companies' ideas.

Almost any program installs and runs well on my computer. File Cleaner does not. After initial install, the program ran automatically. I allowed it to do its cleaning. Then I ran the cleaner again and it found more junk than the first run. So I let it clean again. I restarted my computer and tried running File Cleaner again, but the program wouldn't start. Even after running its self repair and restarting my computer, the program failed to start. Uninstalling and reinstalling also did not fix the problem. My advice is to stay away from this program, or use it on a backup/test computer that isn't so important to you.

After one year, do I get all my deleted files back? All sarcasm aside, I believe I'll pass - as I do on all rentware offerings by GOTD.

Same for me as stated. Does not do a good job. I'm using Ccleaner and it does a great job for what I need. Thanks anyways GAOTD.

Well, i'm not sure about this program. After 5 runs of the cleaner, it continues to show "95 unsolved problems" repeating. Also states corrected 67 registry errors , but on re-scan they keep showing up. Not a keeper for me.
