Thanks to Giovanni's list of freeware i have tried most of them and for me the top one is winparrot :
- 100% Free (not a shareware)
- No installation / No admin right needed
- Record/playback (mouse, keys, and screenshot) without programming!
- You can add code (with debug and trace mode)
- Good help online and good videos on YuTube(Tutorial 1 to 6 are very good).
-...
Just try it !

This is the kind of software that you either need or don't need. Not too much middle ground.

fubar good to see you posting. It's a good day when you post and there is no sign of #1 poster.

It would be good to see you post more often.

Anyway, file size is small so give it a try and see if you think it necessary to daily computering.

To #3 Clair
No review of the offered software. Nothing except a push for opposition stuff, albeit limited in any useful information.
Put yourself in the position of developer of Easy Macro Recorder 4.51.
Now read your post.
Hardly fair treatment, I suggest.

I have the earlier version from GOTD and really like it. I downloaded and installed new version but I can't register. I get a fillin box that tells me my trial version has expired and I now have to make a purchase. When I enter the info from the successful installation message, nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling my prior version and reinstalling but nothing I've tried will allow me to register.
Please advise. Thank you.

@diego thanks. I notice that easymacro doesnt act in 1 click in run cleaner button. I tested again and now i did it by double clicking the button. Stop recording and play the recorded macro. Now it click the run cleaner. I hope the developer will fix that bug. @giovani please categorize the freeware and shareware that you are posting. And i notice that you do not test the giveaway to the freeware you are sharing. I tested doitagain that you've mention the best and it is not good. Easymacro is far better than doitagain.

#21: With ccleaner, ALT plus R will run the cleaner. Notice, if you just click and release the ALT key, you can see all of the ALT speed keys (underlined letters) on the page. Hope this helps.

Hi - I REALLY want to try this program because I have a real use for it and would be happy to purchase if it does what I need. But, after install when I try to run it I get "Free Natural Reader .msi" can not be found. What could be wrong? Any help would be appreciated. I do not use Free Natural Reader and do not have it on my system that I am aware of.

Downloaded and installed. To test it I open a folder which my shortcut icons are there then i clicked ccleaner then click the button run cleaner. After cleaning i close ccleaner, close the folder and stop the recording. So i open up my recorded macro, and play. It open the folder, open ccleaner until it pointed the pointer on run cleaner but it did not click the button. Then close ccleaner and folder. So the problem is it didnt click the button. Please fix it.

To #10 Fubar. Are you an employee of iopus? I can't imagine any person looking for a freebie being interested in their "good sale" going on. So why else would you post this information? Half off $3,000, $1,000, and $500 are the prices!! Do you actually think this audience, who is here looking for free products, is going to spend $500 on a "good sale"?

@bernardz, #8: "I use a program like this almost every day at work. "

@Doozie Blimpkins, #2: "macro that will do all your work while you go to the beach"

I do use a macro everyday at work, every day again. As soon as I'm in, I'll start it, get some coffee and at the end of a bussy day I go home again. Going to the beach is quite an eye-opener that I might well adapt to, thanks. I do have to rearrange my bussy schedule accordingly though.

@7 & @4 iMacros for Chrome is also available for Firefox.

Though this software offered works across all Windows programs.

Saying that, I do use Tiny Tasker as Clair mentioned above.

I got version 4.4 last time it was given away. I use it EVERY day on facebook to send gifts (coins, etc.) and to redeem mystery treasures in Bejeweled Blitz. Slick!

I also got this the last time it was offered. I found it to be reliable and very simple to use. The Macro Editor was quite useful for me, as I could make more complex macros, however it was still limited.

I have also used (the name escapes me, but I swear it exists! :P) a macro editor which allowed basic logical problems. i.e. if (...) do (...) else (...), and it could check the name of the selected window, and the pixel value at a certain coordinate on the screen OR on the window. This was incredibly useful, and for me, would make a macro editor significantly more complete.

I have over the years tried out many macro recorders. I always go back to this one. Once you get used to it, it truly is easy and for a simple keystroke recorder I like it and use it.

I had picked this one up years ago and never found much use for it .. until my son got me hooked into one of the facebook games ....and then I suddenly had a use for it. It's great on some repeating tasks in the games. It's easy to set up and run, you don't have to know much about computers to get it going. So if you waste countless hours on games, this one is for you. I no longer do, but it's still a keeper. Thanks for bringing it back and hopefully this one work flawless on the 64 bit laptop.

#7, Matt, no, you don't have to use Chrome. If you want the full versions, iOpus has a good sale going on. It's the end of the year, everybody has sales going on, Zoner, Wolfram Research, especially Agnitum, etc.

This GAOTD is a very useful tool for those doing the same thing over and over again every bloody day (open the same program, check the same email account, visit the same websites, type the same text every day etc...). Very easy to use, can also play back macros at schedule time. So overall, for what it does, I give it a THUMBS UP!!

But...22 $??? Come on....LOL!!

I have tried several macrorecorders in the past but still didn't find any which allowed to choose with firefox the first or second etc. download on a site, waiting a specified time and then closing the tab and then doing the same for the next tab etc.

It's a problem of relative movements as the tab isn't at a specified absolute position but e.g. the cursor has to move one inch upwards and 2 inches to the right side.

Regarding their homepage this software doesn't satisfy my needs.

I just don't find any other use for macrorecorders!

More elpful to me a Firefox plugin has been which allows to redefine shortcuts: e.g. I changed inside Firefox the combination CTRL+W for closing tabs to the more comfortable F4. Problem: if javascript is enabled some websides deactivate closing tabs by keys. Why, I don't know!

Here is a macro freeware for you: TinyTask

http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/Multimedia/Video/Portable-TinyTask.shtml

TinyTask is a simple, easy to use tool designed to provide basic automation (recording and playback). And better yet, it is portable app so you can run it from a USB flash drive or any other portable device.

Can this create a macro that will do all your work while you go to the beach? If not, please add this feature. Then you could have beach-specific pricing.

I had version 4.4 from an earlier giveaway. I installed this in the same folder. The program worked and remained registered. There was no need to enter the key. This is not a program that I use everyday but there have been times I have found it useful. I know there are alternatives both free and paid. But this one is good in that it trys to be easy to use. When you first start the program you may not thik it's running as there is no splash screen it does not stay on your monitor. But if you check your task bar, you will find it's icon. click the option to set up your hot keys. Overall I am happy with this and will use it from time to time. Thank you GOTD team and GoldSolution Software.
