Hi Guys !

Here's the last update with a couple of fixes

http://www.gfsoftware.com/files/misc/eamixer-debug-library-setup2.exe

If you get another error, try running Easy audio mixer with administrator rights.
To do this, right click on the Application icon and select "Run as administrator".

Attention Gabriel Fernandez. I was one of the people having problems with your software not working but, thanks to your patch, it appears to be working fine now. Though Ive yet to try it out, Im sure it will be a fantastic tool for me and I will be sure to check out your site from time to time to see what other goodies you have developed. A big thankyou for your support. Its good to see a developer jump on an issue straight away. Have a great day, and thanks again.

It looks like a very useful program. The user interface is very attractive. The developer is also very helpful. But the program is not ready for prime time yet. I am using Win 7 Pro. Installed the software followed by installation of the patch. But I am still having the same issue as described by many other users since this morning. Hence, for me it is not a useable program. Perhaps, the developer may bring this offering back after all the bugs are fixed. Again, I greatly appreciate the efforts that developer has been making since the morning.
Good luck.

Hi Everyone,
After reading all the great revues I decided to try Easy Audio Mixer 2.0 and see whats, what! I installed on a AMD 6 core Bulldozer Black Core 3.4GHz with 16GB RAM and a Gigabyte Motherboard GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev. 4.0 With Windows 7 64Bit. Install went fast and easy with NO E-Mail required! But, I did save there Home Page in my Favorites! (o;

I have tried several voice recordings and Music files, Some prerecorded and some live and some that where recorded live! I was Very Impressed! The Sound was clear and true! Very, Very Good! Even just leaving the mixer in the default settings! I played around with the various mixer settings and effects and I must say this is a very well thought out program! Was? Or feels like it was written by a musician! That happened to know programing! (o; I could not have asked a programmer to write this to my specs and got anything better! This is really a Very Nice package! Easy to use and understand and yet able to be complex to customize to what ever stile and preferences you may like! If your a musician? Or someone that just likes to make voice? Music? And add in video? Or, Visa-Versa, This is a software you Must Check out! The Price is Very reasonable! But today its FREE! So, Do not miss this offer on GOTD! It was also very nice to see the programmer available on GOTD's reporting page and helping all, And Any users that did have any problems! That was a sign that they care about there customers and convinced me to give it a go! I am very glad I did! I have been using several other Mixing software over the years and they cost considerable more! Magix is one of these! Easy Audio Mixer 2.0 is right up there with the best of them! I also like the ease in witch you can save files any where on your system! Or find a file anywhere very easy! The main program window starts out very professional and Resizeable! Easy on the eyes! Everything is there!? But, Yet is does not look cluttered with tones of things you may never use! I was able to find with just a click! Or, Maybe two, Any affect? Or, Change I wanted to make and test the results immediately! I also like the way after you listen to a piece, and hit stop! The tracker bar that moves across the piece as it is being played goes right back to the start! Or, stays where it is when you hit pause! A small thing! But, It gets old having to keep moving the bar back to the beginning when I want to replay a piece in other software I have used! To me it shows a lot of thought and care went into Easy Audio Mixer 2.0 and it ends up being one of my favorite already! I am sure after I use it more, It may become my main Mixer! Even if you just add this to your collection and try it later? You will be glad you did! Don't miss it! I will be paying for this and some of there other applications in the near future I am sure! It is very good! And NO ! I do not work for the company! Or have any affiliation! But, This one is a Keeper!

Thank you very much G. F. Software for releasing Easy Audio Mixer 2.0 on GOTD for users to test and try today for free! And Of course thanks to everyone at GOTD for all your hard work in bringing us geeks great software everyday for use to revue, test, try, And play with for as long as we want for FREE! You have out done your self with this one! Thank you!

Well, everyone I wish you all a great Thanks Giving Day and all the Turkey you can eat! Have a wonderful day! Take Care, Always Have FUN! Rick D.

Very nice piece of software. First install did not run and got the same error message others did, but I dl'd the provided debug and it's fine. The first time I had to run as administrator on Win 7 64-bit, but subsequent restarts are fine. I did a test run with a vocal. I sound better than I thought:)

I am looking forward to more testing and also your guitar and bass program, but I have to get back to Thanksgiving cooking. Gracias Sr. Fernandez and keep up the good work!

Installed and works with no problems on my old Vista system. It will not replace Adobe Audition but is welcome as a simpler alternative for when I do not need all the functions of the former.

For the person who complained of the vocal removal option merely lowering the volume - vocals are a fairly narrow band of the music spectrum, you can reduce the level of this band to suppress existing vocals, though this also will reduce the volume of music in that band. When you dub in the new vocals they will, to a degree, override those existing vocals. How well this works depends on the music itself, the original vocals, and the dubbed vocals; in some cases, such as a chorus, it works quite well; in others you may never achieve acceptable results. Play with the amount of vocal suppression and the level of the dubbed vocals.

And kudos to the developer for appearing here, such involvement always impresses me.

Just want to thank everyone for their comments !
A lot of people helped to fix errors running the debug version and providing feedback.

Because of this, the next update to the software will be compatible with your GOTD license. This update should fix all the errors found today.

So, even if you had problems, keep the software installed. And wait for the update that will come soon.

Cheers Regards,

Hello, all.
I saw the good reviews that today's giveaway garnered, so I dnld & installed it.
Like some others, it didn't work properly on my Win7HP 64-bit system.
I emailed the company/Mr. Fernandez at the contact email, to let him know about the problem.
Imagine my surprise when he replied, AND gave GREAT support!
Which did not resolve the issue.
After a few emails back-&-forth, he sent me a link, which when installed resolved the problem.
I found that level of support to be *very* refreshing, & so I highly recommend the program, AND any others he offers.
[Assuming they actually suit your needs, of course.]
All in all, a wonderful experience, and all too rare, w/ many outfits only too likely to disregard the software consumer, when problems surface.

Have a GREAT day, Neighbors!

I downloaded it earlier today and had the same problem mentioned above, i.e. installed OK but gave "Stopped running" message when started to run.

I followed the link he gave at the end of the answer to #2 and almost immediately got a reply! The patch worked and it's a great program.

Note: The patch is applied over the installed program so don't uninstall it. Gabriel asked to get a copy of the re-install message and I forgot to copy it. Do him a favor and don't forget! I tried to capture the message by installing on a different computer, but the download must have been fixed, it worked and so I didn't need the patch. All tech support should be so good!

I'm also enjoying his free Guitar and Bass program.

@ Gabriel Fernandez:
Hi, this program looks very good and much simpler to use than many others, including Audacity. So, I am disappointed because of two errors which forbids me to use the program:
One is that whenever I want top add a music file to a music channel, as soon as I click on the "Browse button, the program simply disappears, closing immediately.
Second error I noticed so far is that whenever I try to use Automation and, say, volume, the line appears on the window at the proper place, but I cannot do anything with it (i.e., remove, or change color, the message "No automation selected" appears, despite the fact that the box in front of the item is ticked. This is really a pity, seems such a wonderful program!
In any case, congratulations.
My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition, Service Pack 1, motherboard is a Dell Precision Workstation 390 Quad CPU Q6600 with 4GB RAM central memory. Should be enough.
Help!

Hi !

I'm not working on the Add music file issue.

Regarding automation, make sure you click the number at the left of the list. And then, click the remove or change color button. Will work to make this easier.

Cheers !

Hi All,

I make mashups so I prefer software like Mashup (not free but probably worth some bucks, www.mixedinkey.com)
I’m looking some pre- and after effect processors that can deal mp3 input and that are stable and fast. I missed a sw like this, for the first look it is a great tool to mix or tune up your almost ready tracks. Beatmatching should be included and I pay for it :)
It does what it claims so thumbs up!

Pacemaker (http://pacemaker.net) is one - and probably the only free sw - that knows what is beatmatching and a nice starting point for all bedroom DJs who want to prepare mixes and not mix them on the fly.

I have to say that, upon reading thru through the comments above, this is a rare day indeed! When everyone is in agreement that this software is a quality product, and the developer is right on the ball in responding to people with problems, it's a bit of a "no-brainer" to download and install - especially if you're an amateur musician/audiophile (not to mention a web marketer) like me, and I can think of many different uses for such a versatile software application.

Having a quality product to offer, coupled with responsive service for customers (even "freeloaders" like me/us) is the hallmark of a sound business model, and I congratulate Mr. Fernandez on his product and wish him much success in his endeavors. It's rare to find a programmer who understand the principles of marketing, and vice-versa.

My hat is off to you, sir!

After checking the other programs at the developers site I must say I am impressed. GUITAR AND BASS is really fun especially the jam band part. The exercises are from easy to rather advanced and the chord building is unlimited as far as I understand. (You can also print out the chords) LITTLE PIANO made me able to play the chords to "Silent Night" on a church organ after two minutes(!) and it did sound quite beautiful.
I do get an error message when closing the program:
Error saving INI file:
Access to the path 1 C:\ProgramData\Little Piano\config.xmr is denied.
{CommonApplicationData}\Little Piano\config.xml
I have not yet found out if this cause any problem using the application.
I suggestion: It would be very useful if it was possible to connect lyrics to the printouts of the chords.
Anyway many thanks to Gabriel Fernandez and to Giveaway of the day

I too had a problem with the program crashing, but got with the developer and it is now fixed (check your paths in settings and make sure none are duplicated). So far, I like Easy Audio and it's replacing an expensive, but old, popular commercial software title.

It is definitely holding its own and doing it well.

I recommend Easy Audio.

BTW, this is only the second time I've commented on a GAotD program and I've been here for years, that should tell you something right there.

Gabriel -- Maybe you can help with this problem. My earlier tests were with recording from microphone, which went smoothly. However, I'm having trouble adding a music file.

--Every time I try to add a music file from my collection using the "Add music file" button, the program crashes 1/2 way through the indexing process.

--If I right click on a file in my collection and select "Open with... > Easy Audio Mixer", nothing happens. I tried mp3 and wma files.

--I tried to Copy and Paste a file in -- nothing happens.

Thanks,
Dan

Annoying, tricky... There are 2 channel types, Voice channels (Voice 1, Voice 2) and Music channels (Music 1, etc),
The upper 2 are Voices by default, choose 3rd or 4th channel (Music 1, Music 2) and it works... Yeah, programmer and not producer made :)

Just like Dan, I've been using among others, Audacity for mixing the latter years as well as some iZotope tools and wave editors combined with other VST plugins to edit individual tracks offline and so I actually passed the first time around.
After a revisit a couple of hours later, I did find the comments interesting enough to download and while I probably won't be changing anything for my setup, I'm happy to recommend it to anyone starting out recording/mixing music. You will have a tool at hand I only wish existed when I started. Instead, I wasted the three first months trying to find the ins and outs of advanced programs I wasn't ready for at the time.

Audio Mixer 2.0 is likely to cover all your needs for quite some time, but the best part is that you are able to start mixing right away as the program and its functions are very straightforward and easy to understand.
The programmer indicates that the program is made for beginners. In that respect, I must say it is indeed an impressive one and trying to look at it from a beginners perspective, I can't seem to find one single function missing.

Thanks a lot for generous offer, G.F.Software and GOTD. It's like a mix with Guitar Pro and Cubase. Very usefull when practicing solo tracks for singers and guitar players. Definately a keeper. Once and again I agree in, the vote down function is misused - and from my point of view it could be removed - better yesterday than tomorrow. Thanks to fellow users for nice reviews, anyway. To Gabriel Fernandez and GOTD,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Installed on Win 7 64 with no problem and it started just fine.
Haven't played with it yet, but looking forward to making a little Christmas music to send to friends and family.
Also I went to his web page and downloaded the free trial version of "Little Piano."
Amazing. Terrifically easy computer keyboard entry and over a hundred excellent sounds: pianos, organs, bells, brass, percussion, birds, ocean waves, etc etc.
Hint. Some need to be placed in higher or lower octave for best effect.
Some are wonderful sounds even if (to me) not so convincing as what their names suggest.
I have several paid and free music programs but for this amateur, this the easiest and best sounding.
I fully expect to be similarly pleased with Easy Audio Mixer 2.0
As soon as my credit card cycle restarts I intend to purchase one or more of his programs.

As others have noted; it would be a great help to everyone, and a real courtesy to the software developers if the esclusively thumbs up or down voting were changed to give an option for "not interesting/useful to me."

Thanks again,
Happy Music Making,

I've been using Audacity to record, edit and mix podcasts and I almost passed on today's offering, but the good reviews pulled me in, and I'm really glad they did. Easy Audio Mixer can do most of what I need, and it's quick and easy. I just opened it, plugged in my mic and was making and editing a recording. There are very limited options for effects, but the ones I need most are there (noise reduction, compressor, EQ) and easily modified.

It won't replace Audacity, but I think I'll be using it more. I would pay the asking price.

asking price is quite fair.

Very attractive well presented program with many video how to instructions. However, on this Win 7 64U system, it continually crashes out making it useless. I'd very much enjoy this program otherwise. I suggest you try it and if it stays up on your machine, I think you'll find it a keeper.

Very nice indeed and it does recognize my FastTrack audio interface for both recording and playback. Works great with my acoustic/electric 6 string when I tested it but I will need to plug in the preamp for better recording level. The visual layout is very nice and sensible. I was impressed by the How To videos that are available on Youtube. Very nicely done and very helpful. I had been looking for a quick and easy product like this to use as a notepad of sorts for song ideas I want to work on. Certainly not a full featured record to master software package but a great place to start for sure. Very low learning curve. Thanks GF Software I am going to have lots of fun with this one! It is indeed a keeper imo.

Gabriel,
Please note that there's a huge issue that I bang on about all over the internet trying to tell developers one VERY particular thing:-
We are NOT all administrators.
We shouldn't be. From day to day, people are best to operate safety as limited users. When they need to administer their computers, they use an administrator account, but not until then.
Please check, test, that your software is fully capable when running in a limited user context. And that it registers for limited users. A lot of the software that we see here doesn't. Thanks for your offer.

Hi Aster,

Thanks for the feedback !

That's exactly why I ask the administrator rights question. So I can now if the problem is regarding the UAC, or if it's another issue.

Don't worry, I work hard to make my software work under normal conditions. Some times is just difficult to test every instance.

BUT...............

Have tried the above a few times - and I get the same problem every time .

Hi, can you provide me with the error message of the crash ?

Reply   |   Comment by Gabriel Fernandez  –  9 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+22)

I am having a problem trying to load music too. When I try "browse", it brings up a blank window with "Open" at the top only. When I (x) close the window, the program crashes with the same error as it was before I ran the debug file. I will check the forum linked at the GF Software site this weekend for further help, as well as the extensive video library on YouTube. Thanks in advance to you, Gabriel.

Pity those who have no need for this software have given it a thumbs down, that is NOT what that rating system is for.

This one is a keeper, its a good tool for making your own music to add to videos, maybe for uploading to YOUtube later on. Sure, there are others, maybe even free ones, but you would be hard pressed to find a free one of such quality, and Karl is right, its good to finally have a programmer that knows what he is doing.

If only for the fun I am going to have with this, its a keeper. Thanks.

Nice tool today to create presentations and/or music.

Yes, it's definitely for the AVERAGE JOE users out there, since it's much easier to use compared to other FREE (see below) and PAID alternatives on the market.

Perfect for singers, since, unlike many similar apps, it enables you to remove the vocals from a song and then record your voice singing the song. Cool, isn't it?

Installed upon reboot!! ^_^

2 THUMBS UP from me!

BEST FREE (and more ADVANCED) ALTERNATIVES?

Well, to create music or songs for professional presentations, more ADVANCED users may find these FREE GEMS more suitable for their professional skills:

P.S. Hey KARL, I think you'd need an accelerated course for FREEBIES, since your excellent comments always lack of better FREE ALTERNATIVES....hey, I could help you in this (steep prices may apply though....LOL...only joking....LOL!)

You're great and always appreciate the free alternatives in case i lose gotd.

Well, Giovanni, since you ARE the premier source for alternative software, there's no need for Karl to duplicate this effort. Karl kicks the tires, and you point to other tire sources. Both of you Gentlemen provide valuable information for which I and many others are appreciative.

Hi, What a brilliant 'musical' Giveaway!:) I would like to echo what Karl said about seeing here a different (new to me, that's for sure) Developer. I have so much music already downloaded, that testing this Software and/or creating something better sounding and 'tuned up' exactly how I like it - will give me enormous pleasure and fun.

What strikes me about this Developer, before getting properly into music and sounds - is an ease of installing/registering Easy Audio Mixer 2.0, and Politeness, with which this Software 'arrives' on one's machine.. Rare feature in the world of pushy, mail addresses grabbing, constant advert-pollutant Vendors, or in Software itself 'eagerness' to change default media extensions.. None of that here! I have no doubt this piece of Software (and other they produce) is created by, or with help of real Musicians:) Cheers from me and thanks for this Gift!

Hmmmm .... Running Windows 7 Home x64 with i5 CPU, 6GB RAM, 45 GB disk space available etc. I installed on 2 attempts (using Your Uninstaller before the 2nd install to eliminate all traces). Both times it seems to install fine, but on program start I just get the Windows error message, "The application has stopped working" and I get no further. Of course I am "Running as Administrator". Curious.

Has anyone had any problems at all ?

Yes, I too am having the same problem. Installed fine but get the same error message as you describe. Any help from the developers?

As # 2, It installed fine but I get the same error message as described by Paul @ 2.

I am running Win 7 with i7 processor, 16 gig Ram and a Terabyte HDD, as Administrator of course.
Im a bit disappointed because, as an amateur singer/songwriter I was quite looking forward to using this program, especially given the positive comments posted above.

Could the developer please help. Thankyou. Have a great day.

I seem to be having the same problem - the software crashes upon start.
I'm running Win Xp Home Edition (Service pack 3),
On Intel Pentium Dual CPU (Model E2160) @1.8GHz with 2 GB Ram.

2nd attempt, after my first reply went to the Nirvana. Yes, I have the same problem on my Win 8.1 Pro, installed and running as admin. Some hints would be great, because according to the comments, this app is a keeper.

If you have this problem, please download and install the following file:

http://www.gfsoftware.com/files/misc/eamixer-debug-setup4.exe

DO NOT UNINSTALL EASY AUDIO MIXER. This file requires the GOTD version
installed.

If you are still having problems, please send me an email to support@gfsoftware.com
Thanks for the support !

Yes after installing 2'nd exe the request for jit debugger is gone and eventually the gui comes up , only when run as admin from folder not desktop icon , odd but working none the less. Thank-you can play with it now, maybe tomorrow.

Hi Guys !

Here's the last update with a couple of fixes

http://www.gfsoftware.com/files/misc/eamixer-debug-library-setup2.exe

If you get another error, try running Easy audio mixer with administrator rights.
To do this, right click on the Application icon and select "Run as administrator".

Best regards,
Gabriel Fernandez

Installed and registered without problems on a WIn 8.1.2 Pro 64 bit system.

Finally a company with name and address. Greetings to Paraguay, Gabriel Fernandez! Have we ever had software from Paraguay? The software is quite new, released on September 14th of this year.

Upon start a resizable and clearly structured window opens. You define your project, three basic templates are already defined, you define the input and then...

One sees, that the programmer knows, what he does. This is not always the case. At first sight a simple multi channel mixer, the introduction video shows the basics. If you dig deeper, you'll find well structured and easy to use controls for the most important aspects of sound, from equalizer over compressor to echo and ...

I am impressed, Mr Fernandez. This is not only Easy audio mixer is a multi track editor designed for average users it can be used by the advanced user, too. The help (video) is excellent. Some limitations can be solved after install. The software can export to WAVE files, and Windows media audio files.
Also, if you have the LAME MP3 Encoder, it will be able to export to MP3 files.

Install it and test it! I'll keep it as a fast working tool for mixing and as an example that there are real programmers in Paraguay, too.
