Does it rip hollywood DVDs? It says"not protected" but I'm not sure what that means. Anyone try that yet?

The product page says: "DVD RipR does not support protected content.", which means that you'd need some other software to handle the DRM before you used DVD RipR on most DVD & Blu-ray video discs you bought. That does not make DVD RipR useless however, as DVD & Blu-ray rippers and copiers that can manage DRM are usually sold separately. So if you bought something like DVDFab Passkey, which allows playback & copying, this would let you convert [rip] the results to another format.

Installed fine on a W7 64 Pro, in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\DVDRipR" folder.
I changed a registry subkey to prevent it updating.

IDe, look for current user/software/name of maker/name of application. That is quite universal. Then read the names of the keys and subkeys
