Every day we offer FREE licensed software you’d have to buy otherwise.
WebSite X5 Go 2020.3 was available as a giveaway on December 11, 2020!
When you want to bring a great idea online, the most important part is getting started. WebSite X5 Go has all the essentials to guide you, and our Drag & Drop Builder helps you add content to your pages even if you don't know how to code. All the basics for publishing your first project online are included, making building a website easy and fun.
Main features:
Windows 7 SP1/ 8/ 10; 2 GB RAM; Min. Screen Resolution: 1280 x 768
152 MB
Lifetime
$59.90
A lifetime license doesn't mean much when all the features to make a proper site requires an upgrade. This freebie is only for building a basic site. You can do soooo much more even using free hosting and the tools available in the Control Panel to make your site. Yes, free doesn't give you the domain name you want but it does provide features far beyond what this package does. If you want your own domain name, you just as well get one from the same hosting site as a package deal. Then, you'll have everything to make a great site: templates, tools, support, etc..

VERY limited when creating a website. A lot of features ask you to upgrade to Website X5 Evo, which will run you $75.95, with upgrades for 12 months.
here's a ist of features that are only available after upgrade:
Website icon and image; Resolutions and Responsive Design; Template Structure; Text, Field, and Button Style; Tooltip on mouse over; E-mail layout; Pop-up window Showbox; Settings export/import; Page Properties; Separator; Adding these to your website: Table, Gallery, Video and Audio, Contact Form, Content Slider, Comments and Ratings, HTML5 Animation, Product Catalog, HTML5 Code.
Without the above things, you'll only be able to create a basic website with very limited design.
In my opinion, you'd be better off using a free website editor like Wix, Wordpress, or Weebly.

I installed this package. I wanted to add an RSS feed, among other things. As most of you know, adding an RSS feed button is a pretty simple thing. This outfit wants me to upgrade to do it.
Making a site responsive, as in making it compatible for viewing on phones, tablets, etc. is another upsell. A responsive site is pretty much mandatory these days. This outfit wants you to pay to do so.
I think it's a giant upselling scheme, complicated to use, and expensive fast if you want actual usability.
Wordpress has hundreds if not thousands of free themes. Try them instead of this.
One more thing: What happens to one's site when the giveaway ends? The fee for another year is rather abusive, in my opinion, of course.
If you have a domain, Wordpress free is easier. I use them on six of my sites.

Peter, this is a lifetime license... there are no further 'fees' which need to be paid in order to use this software indefinitely.

Peter, It has a LIFETIME license. Pay attention.

Ouch, downvote Peter, why don't you. Bear in mind how quickly technology moves on. A couple of years ago, 'responsive' wasn't even a thing, which it now is, so updates are important. This software is also quite buggy, so updates will be necessary.
Peter is right though. Want to add a slider to your website? Thats an extra. Want to add a form? Thats an extra. Want to add an icon? Thats an extra. Some of these things are 'standard' on other platforms.
The workflow can be confusing as well - content is added in this section, templates are amended in that section, and don't double-click that or it opens another dialog. Then you have to create three websites (for different sizes) so building something nice can be time-consuming.
The biggest difference between this and Wordpress though is that this creates static HTML pages which can't be hacked, while Wordpress can. Wordpress sites are attacked continually by bots trying to break in.
Overall, there are nicer (and cheaper in the long-run) website builders.
I would also argue if you've a company or business, get someone else to build and maintain your website - they know what they're doing and can do a better job than you using this software.

Roger, thanks for the clarification about the life cycle of the license.
Any response to the other issues he raised viz:
1) upgrade/payment required to add feeds
2) 'automatic' (what does that mean?) mobile version and being required to pay for it?

Where is the 10 additional templates ??

Frank, the additional templates are in the software itself. I downloaded and after installing found 25 templates available for use. Apparently this edition of WebSite X5 (which is the most basic edition) normally comes with just 15.

Not many templates and unless you make a purchase any website you manage to make has to, so far as I can tell, bear W5 as a favicon. Not the worst website builder I've come across but could also be a lot more intuitive and user friendly.
