The best Mac video converting tool gives you everything you need to download and convert high Definition (HD) videos to mainstream formats, players, devices and video editing software on Mac.
For people who just need a video downloader, there are some internet browsers with built-in video downloaders. But my preferred and favorite one is the Torch Browser. It has a one-click button to download videos and/or download video and automatically extract audio in aac format if you are downloading a music video. And it also have Torrent downloader.

I Have Another Version Offered Before (It Is A LIFETIME LICENSE, However It Can Never Be Updated Now Unless I Uninstall It First!) I'm Keeping My Present Version Installed On Sunday, July 21, 2019, 12:45:37 AM. (DimoVideo Converter Ultimate!) It's Very Well Made!

"World's NO.1 Fast HD Video Converter." Really...? On what basis do they make this claim? It is certainly not the most popular, and I can find no credible sources that credit it as the best or the fastest. There is nothing on their website to back this up either...

Min, One wonders how this crippled video converter is better than the product it is crippled from Dimo Video Converter Ultimate that has no imposed restrictions on source content can be files, DVD, BD, ISO the lot... so for some reason this crippled edition is better than their best video converter product as well as every other video converter in the world including those that do not have the GUI bugs license infringments and stupid profile bit rate preset values... I think it's just a simple lack of honesty since they believe they are legally untouchable in the PRC... Of course they could easily be shut out of the commercial world without resorting to criminal charges of fraudulent misrepresentation of their products by enough people reporting their abuse and theft of intelectual property and their use of fraudulent marketing claims to the international e-commerce providers they use and eventually the e-commerce providers will drop these PRC cheats from their customer base to preserve their own reputations.

Has anyone actually used it rather than complain about installing it?

Don,
"It will not open any 720p video I have tried."
Dimo HD Video Converter is a subset of their Dimo Video Converter Ultimate -- the Ultimate version doesn't list any input restrictions, while their HD Video Converter only imports HD... seems like Dimo left out the word *Full*, i.e. Full HD, which is 1080. That said, if you tried one of those video formats that will only work with one or a few apps, e.g. video from some cameras, I could be wrong.

mike, the videos I tried were recorded with the Hauppauge Colussus card and a OTA HD broadcast with a TV tuner. Nothing from a camera

LPM, yeah its got all the bugs their other converter products have in that the UI does not render cleanly in a remote desktop session, the media server is a dumb web server with no media streaming facilities or web interface and no controls once an individual server is instantiated so it is impossible to terminate a server instance without shutting down the entire program and any conversion and every other server instance on a different port for a different folder. There is no summary of what folders are actively being shared on what port and all the output profiles have crazily high default bit rates which result in far larger output files than necesary but if you are a media recoding expert you can manually enter a sensible bit rate in place of the preset suggested values.
Will that do you for now?

I tried to load different video files into the programme but it kept showing error messages that the videos cannot be read. But when I tried to convert one of the 'problem' videos using another video converter, it worked. Uninstalling this programme

I have installed the converter succesfully and now when the program opens it wants a registration code where it is NOT provided in the Setup ReadME text, what a disapointment, Please let us know what to do.

Installed using code BzpTSlYyC1B7Ek1hCTVHInROUw== obtained from https://www.mediadimo.com/summer-giveaway
It is most bloated occupying 242MB of space -- twice the 120MB by WinX_HD_Video_Converter_Deluxe!
Alas, it could not/import mp4 files -- no problem with other alternatives, including WinX_HD_Video_Converter_Deluxe!
Uninstalled!

Ajayi, anybody can download from YouTube and Facebook – but not with a Video Converter!

Julia,
>"... anybody can download from YouTube and Facebook – but not with a Video Converter!"
Oops, ... Open mouth, insert ...
If you look at the features listed above, one is "Download your favorite movies/music from various sites" and also the first feature statement starts with "World's NO.1 Fast HD Video Converter to download, ..." Also, as a prominent feature at the top of the program, it lists Download, as can be seen in the 2nd screenshot above. Therefore, even though this is a converter, it still has a download feature, so Ajayi's question is a very fair one.
Ajayi is not asking whether there is a "Download" feature (it should be very obvious that it does have one), but whether the download feature can download from YouTube or Facebook.
Sadly, the answer is "No" or at least "probably no" for the YouTube part. YouTube keeps changing their format, which often causes download features to fail for most if not all of their videos. There have been times when a downloader could download some of the YouTube videos but not all. The URLs I tried all caused Dimo HD Video Converter to report an error after attempting to download the video.
For Facebook videos, I did have instant download success.
For Ajayi (and others), that is good news.

Ben, what email are you expecting but not getting? Do you mean the email from giveawayoftheday.com for a personalised download link? Because of the comunication laaaag and uncertainty in conversing via moderated comments sections it is advised you ask complete questions and not questions that are ambiguous and cannot be answered as asked because the question is not specific so no reader can know exactly what you are asking!

namer, you have to open the README.TXT in the ZIPfile and follow the instructions: visit a Web page to get the activation code. They do not ask for any details like e-mail.
Hope that helps.

I wonder how this compares to the WinX HD Video Converter (given away here some time ago)?!
Save | Cancel
M. H., WinX HD Video Converter Platinum program is much more usable as the HD in it's name is not a restriction like todays giveaway but a qualification... in that this refuses to even load video files that do not fit its specifications of what a "HD" video file is, while WinX will accept any standard video files including SD HD FHD and UHD..
Winx programs also render correctly in remote desktop sessions this does not and WinX presets profiles have broadly sensible encoding settings while ALL Dimo video converter programs including this do not have sensible bit rates offered as default preset values. WinX HD Video Converter Platinum that was given away recently competes more with Dimo VIdeomate and not this severely cut down build of Dimo Video Converter Ultimate.
Hope that helps :-)

leo732, WinX did go through a licensing engine shake up a little while back... recent giveaway licenses now work again and oddly can be used on the older versions that lost their activation but when applied to the older version the newer version loses its activation and then you have to re-apply the same license code to the newest giveaway again as all the versions apear to share the same storage for the registration data but they use a different key to encrypt/decrypt the activation data. Of course no one can promise that any giveaway key will allways work forever but the most recent giveaways key shows no signs of designed in expiration unlike all those that provide "annual" license keys via email. But really just provide a 12 month trial license not one they will renew annually.

How nice, we all were waiting for a Video Converter. Now there is one
Save | Cancel
Giesbert, yes, then you have plenty converters to choose from. Isn’t that a good thing or what? Looks like this one is not limited to 1 year, 6 months or other limitations that has been more common from GOTD nowadays, look at the bright side also!
Save | Cancel
Kjell, Instead it's just got a poorly implimented GUI that does not render cleanly under remote desktop, has vastly incorrect default bitrates defined in all the output encoding profiles has a pointless dumb http web server module that has no controls or user interface once instantiated and only accepts a tiny subset of video files as input source files and when I say Tiny subset I mean a tiny subset of what the world may call HD videos but Dimo refuses to accept. The utility of this cut down build of Dimo Video Converter Ultimate program is extremly limited. You were saying look on the bright side? What bright side was that? I'm not seeing it today... a lifetime license on a severly crippled video converter which requires expert knowledge to get sensible output file sizes. To me I see no reason to give this space on my systems hard drives since I'd rather KNOW in advance what a converter will handle without having to try and probably be denied conversion because of some marketers arbitrary crippling of the program to try and make a few cents more by deception.
