This is an excellent program that helps to show dolts in some locations just how the SUN covers the world at any moment in Time.

Big Deal i hear you say ...

Well if You are one of the many (enfranchised (meaning voters)) who like to complain about DAYLiGHT SAViNGS or SUMMER-TiME [when you move your clocks from local Standard Time (Spring Forward & Fall Backwards)] and then winge or complain bitterly about why You shouldn't have to adjust your clocks and lifestyle, this program has an excellent feature that helps to explain how the Sun's footprint travels around the World.

Love to see some Upgrades as i would actually put hand in pocket to pay for a License

Windows 10 - installed (could not locate a license to activate). Worked fine for a couple of hours and then my computer crashed. When I restarted the computer there were all kinds of different error messages popping up regarding this software - I'm uninstalling it.

Installer didn't work. Just got a pop-up that reads: Successfully activated, but can't find the software anywhere on my PC. this was a total waste of time !

Used this program many years ago. The easiest way to find different time zone around the world is to use the following web page - http://everytimezone.com/

This highly visual site is fast, simple and fun to use. Do it all with your mouse.

Crave World Clock you need to get rid of the erraticness of your software. There are amazing alternatives like the one just mentioned.

PEOPLE, You are better off going directly to the Time Zone section of TiME and Date dot com using the URL I've provided inside the following Squared Brackets [https://www.timeanddate.com/time/]

________________________________________

Janakee,

Regarding the link you've provided:

Just one of many many ... many alternatives and this one is terribly basic and from what I could see or play with, it 'EVERY TiME ZONE' is just TOO BASiC and doesn't appear to display the unusual nor EVERY time zones found in some countries.

For example from my travels: South Australia and Northern Territory are a Half-Hour behind Sydney (New South Wales) Australia which is occasionally (twice a year at the beginning & end of 'Daylight Savings Time' at a different time to Tasmania, and BRiSBANE Queensland is on AUSTRALIAN STANDARD TiME which is +10Hours ahead of GMT/Universal Time, etcetera etcetera etc.

If Your going to offer some sort of TimeZone tool/program you've GOT to offer the locations and time zones that people are looking for in the first place and are likely to use your tool/program otherwise you're very likely to really upset off a lot of people who don't want to waste their time and want useful information.

Regards,

Peter C1

Most professional people know what timezones their clients are in. anyone else can just ask google or any other system instantly.

As for updates. Fred Flintstone was asking the same question when i purchased this 2 years ago.

Not for me anymore.

I actually bought this software a few years ago because I liked really well. I replaced that computer about 8 months ago so I emailed the developer to request a new lic code since the original would not work . Waited a month for a reply. Nothing. Emailed the same request several more times without a response. That is not the way a developer should handle his business so I think I'll pass and avoid the headache of being ignored when requesting assistance. Too bad the developer doesn't care enough about customer support to reply to his customers and I doubt they bother to read the comments but they should.

This is a pretty neat software if you have customers or contacts in different parts of the world and want very quick access to see what the time is in that specific city/country. I used it myself for a year or so and was very satisfied with it. It pretty much does what it promises to do.

One of the things I didn't like about it though, was that it added itself also on top of my open applications. If it could stick to the desktop only it would be great

There is no option to align the clocks automatically either. This could be a good improvement, especially if you use the digital clock.

After using it for a year or so I changed to another similar software (Sharp World Clock) which has some more options and in my opinion is a better product. But this is payware so as for a free alternative I would say that Crave World Clock is great !!

george james ducas, what do you want it to be? It's a clock???

Reply   |   Comment by Ann Rein  –  Last year  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-3)

Ann Rein, How about work consistently?
That's all too... That it works consistently.
When you have it set to run at start up and 9 out of 10 times it does, but there's always that 1 in 10 it doesn't, and that's normally when you actually need it.

I brought this software flat out way back and I don't think it has had an update since Vista?
It was ok in Vista, don't get me wrong. It was ok in Windows 8, but didn't work at all in 8.1..
And as for Windows 10, sometimes it pauses, no movement of the horizon or clock, it just hangs...

That's, what I'd like. I paid for that, at least that's what I thought.

I'm so hoping somebody tempts the developer to respond, because after years of contacting them about it and never even receiving a reply, it hasn't left me feeling too positive about the future..

And too any other readers and you the developer if you have bothered to read our feedback,
What needs sorting is the marrying of the software to the OS or motherboard.
Sort it out! its 2018!

Every time you update Windows, or do a factory reset, you will have to make sure you install AFETR DE REGISTERING IT - how many times I have fallen foul to this arcane idea, I don't know. But if your anything like me, you will be constantly contacting them for a new serial and activation key. So keep your receipt, if you do decide to buy it...And don't forget to deregister it before uninstalling or having a system crash, and having to reinstall, as that always is a have to contact them and explain whilst hoping they respond with a new set of keys so you can continue to use it scenario..

And not knocking it at all, but my system renders in 4K HDR now in 2018, so how about they update the graphics so its not 480x480 jpeg? That's would be nice....
You know so Windows isn't just upscaling it...

Jim C, HiYa Jim, thanks for the positive response.
Yes, I thought it went that far back, but didn't actually want to say, incase I was wrong.
DOS? I even upgraded to Dos 6.22 so I use all those new commands
Now that's old....
Thanks again

george james ducas, We have plans to update it. Currently our team is busy with our main accounting software development and promotion. That is why we could not update it soon.

Sorry for not updating it.

I purchased a license to this software around 2-3 years ago, and in that time it has not been updated once...
I have wrote to the developer several times over the years asking when the next update is coming, but nothing, not even a reply.
So any news on any updates?????
Since Windows 10, this program hasn't had an update, and it doesn't always work right. Sometimes it just doesn't load, some times it gets stuck and basically pauses to mention a few things.
I let the developer know and everything. Not a word back..

The software is useful to me as I trade all over the world (I have traded in pretty much every country on earth now) and use this software to tell the time of the local that I'm trading with.

There's nothing worse than thinking everybody's on the same clock.
Such as trying to contact Russians or Americans at 9am on a Monday Morning. But with this software I know that they are still tucked up in bed ect...

Its good software. But how about an update once every decade eh?

Richard Sebire, Actually we have plans to update it and make it available for android/ios platform as well which is taking time. Also we have another big product, actually our main software of the company on which we spend more time.

Sorry for not updating it for long time.

I installed the last GAotD version of this, which was basically the same version (1.6.4.4, I've no idea if the last digit has changed in the interim). I don't use it much but it's a handy program and didn't give me any installation issues or side-effects.

After the installation of the program, casually, I went on youtube and I could not play any video.
After uninstalling the program everything is back to normal.
I communicated the fact to the software house

Auro monari, It may be a coincidence but this program has nothing to do with youtube.
