Crave World Clock Pro 1.6.4 was available as a giveaway on April 22, 2017!
Crave World Clock allows you to keep track of current time for major cities and time zones on a real world map. You can also add themed analog and digital clocks on your Windows desktop to keep track of current time for any city you like. You can also set the world clock with map as your desktop wallpaper or use it as a screensaver. A time finder tool allows you to quickly find current time for any city or country you like. A reminder tool allows you to set reminders for appointments, meetings, phone calls, etc. according to other time zones. A popup will be displayed with a reminder message at the specified time in the specified city or time zone. It also has a calendar tool which displays a calendar for the entire year at a glance. You can choose the year for which the calendar needs to be displayed apart from current year. This is in continuation with my previous comment. I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on a a quad-core pentium, with 4 GB RAM, 1TB HDD with lots of space. I am highly disappointed that the programme did not install. I'd really appreciate an alternative file which really works.

Downloaded (3 times), extracted and ran 'Setup.exe'. The folder contained the 'setup.gcd' and 'readme.txt' files. On running, the verification process completed, the 'Successfully activated' page displayed, but nothing happened further!!!! I am not sure what is wrong. But, highly disappointed.

Crave World Clock is good/very-good but, for me, Sharp World Clock (programming.de) is excellent/superb in features (incl., Weather and Sticky Notes); performance (never hangs or crashes, <14MB RAM); and appearance. Purchase includes FREE, Lifetime upgrades for installation on TWO computers.
I do like Crave World Clock's unique "hover" feature, although it eats up most/all the screen real estate.
Note: The going-in price "appears" to be higher but, because it includes a license for TWO computers (never mind the free lifetime upgrades and a very responsive developer), it's actually the same price as today's generous
Thanks for the freebie, CWC and GOTD.

I installed. My recommendation for improvement are as follows:
1.) make the map nicer, its very basic, no country delineation.
2.) Include a database of all cities and times
3.) The map as a wallpaper does not look nice, could be much better, maybe several choice
4.) Desktop clocks should have a country map and flag on the dial face; or flag with clock, or map with flag and clock
5.)place time zones on map with an option of coloring the zones as a layer option
5.) Include a layer for weather and clouds
6.) have an option for a spinning globe
7.) right click on widgets to set a calendar reminder and alarm
Hope this helps to make it more fun

Yup, failed for me, too on Windows 10. Accidentally started to install the "installer" and stopped that. Ran the setup.exe again and received the "Successfully Activated", but there was never any install. Didn't receive any notices from my antivirus either. Went to the developer's site, downloaded and installed, but it needs a code to activate beyond the 14 day trial. Too bad since I too had this on an old XP machine and liked it.

Absolutely love the desktop analog clocks! It reminds me of the widgets Windows 7 use to have.

1) On Windows 10 64 bit, the balloon option for the system tray does not work for me.
2) On the list of cities, some cities have "Saint" spelled out and some have "St." (ie Saint John and St. John's); could these either be spelled out or abbreviated, but not both?
Save | Cancel
Ziggy, There are 2 of these cities. One is Saint John, New Brunswick, and the other is St. John's, Newfoundland. These are 2 separate cities in Eastern Canada. Hope this is of use to you, as no doubt you are not a Canadian Resident. JS

I'm not saying "Crave World Clock" isn't a useful program; it is, however, I think it would be even more useful if it would sync to "atomic clock" servers.

TK, True; if you trust Microsoft (MS) - I don't. If MS gave me the opportunity to install the servers of my choice then I'd be fine with it, but they don't. I'm an stuck with what they provide and I'm not fine with that.

JonE, That should, in the last sentence, "I'm stuck or I am stuck" NOT "I an stuck". Sorry!

TK, Thanks, for that. Without going into detail my time, on a daily basis, is let us say cramped, but I will look into this, as you say, it would be more convenient and cost-effective than paying for a syn program. Thanks again.

I had a previous version of this on another laptop running windows 8 and then 10. I was constantly getting an error message saying a file for it was in use and unable to load. I never did figure out how to fix that. Another problem was if it's set as your wallpaper it really slows down your boot up time. Now I have a macbook and I don't see a link for Mac even if I wanted to give it a try.

I'm another one who has found that this program activates, but doesn't seem to install. That's a shame, because I used to have it on an older computer running XP, but lost it when I bought a new one running Windows 10. However, I'm not about to spend ages trying to figure it out. Not worth the frustration. Unfortunately, will have to give it a thumbs down because of the installer issue.

Last version did not support 4K, neither does the current version. Stop releasing outdated software. This is eye candy and should support at least 4K and true multi-monitor support (not a duplication of images at different magnifications across monitors). If you want people to actually buy your software, you need to support at least 4 year old technology.

John Rupik,
Sorry fumble fingers. Should say "the bubble popup which can display the time in seven cities does not work."

Downloaded and installed no problem, but couldn't help having a laugh to myself when I saw that the program has included Cardif, London, Glasgow and other UK places which are all in the same time zone as each other, but a nice touch just the same.
Save | Cancel
DaveC, Los Angeles and San Francisco are in the same time zone but if a person in London wants to set one clock to San Francisco, should they have to settle for Los Angeles?

I have had this previously, but as someone else said lost it to a re-format. Very happy to have it again. Saves me trying to message people who are asleep... I like the layout of it and the way you can adjust the clocks visually too.

Loved this the first time around, but lost it to a format a couple of years ago. Highly recommended, especially if you like to see where the world at large is with respect to daylight or night time. I 'm considering buying this finally as I do like to support developers, especially those that have been generous over the years. We've been given this software several times since 2010 (i.e. Jan 2010, Sept 2011 & Nov 2014). Today's version (v1.6.4) is the same as the one we received back in Nov 2014. I checked the developers web site and couldn't find details of the latest version, (that is whether v1.6.4 is still the latest version, or whether they are still developing the software).
I've contacted the developer to ask if there is a newer version because I'd be happy to purchase it if there is one. :)
Thanks to the developer 'Reflection Software Solutions' and the Giveaway team for today's decent software giveaway, it's very much appreciated.

whiterabbit-uk, If you go to the download page on the vendor's website, it shows 1.6.4.4 as the most current version. This is the same version as today's giveaway.
I do note that neither the Facebook nor the Twitter links for the company exist anymore. At least the ones from thier website for this program. There is a YouTube page, but only showing videos for another product - CraveInvoice.
It is still a very nice program and worth it. I play Online games with folks from around the world and it is VERY helpful to have easy ways to keep track of what time of day it is in their neighborhoods.

Louis Hazard, Thanks Louis, appreciated. That's exactly what I use it for. i.e checking to see if friends are up and about for coop gaming. :)

If this Crave World Clock could take a note or memo in Calender section, or could reach online calender such as Microsoft or Google, I believe it'll become more productive software. Too bad its calender cannot take any note or memo even it has own Reminders
Save | Cancel
jugem, go under Tools and there is an option to "Manage Reminders." This allows you to set reminders for specific times on specific days. You can also include notes as to what the reminder is for. You can also have the reminder play a sound to alert you.

Louis Hazard,
Yes, but it is very limited compare to Google or MS Calender.

hi d, from what the moderator Whiterabbit keeps repeating over in the game section, links are usually sent to the first email used to log in. If you've used more than one email, it will be the first one you ever used that the link will be sent to, so, if you do have more than one email, check your other emails to see if the link has been sent to one of those.
I think this was done to stop people farming the Steam keys that the game side of the project often give away and to stop people from making multiple entries in the competitions for software and games that both sides of the giveaway site now include regularly.

d, The program downloaded for me after I clicked on the link above. It never asked me for my email address. I clicked on the setup file and everything installed without any problems. Did it require you to provide an email address in order to get the program?

It seems it can do everything but replace the tasbar clock with something more bolder/attractive looking, as Atomic Alarm Clock once did before Windows 10.
