Memreduct has 3 hits at VirusTotal - thanks for that.

Jack Ford, Memory (RAM) and CPU are distinctly different components in a PC. Both can affect speed in different ways.
Roughly speaking
In windows 10 open task manager processes tab and you can see % use of each.
IMO Today's offering is only worth installing (if at all) if the CPU reading is frequently going over 90%. If in task manager you click on the word CPU the processes that are using most can be sorted to the top of the list and if one is particularly greedy you can investigate it.
With memory speed can be reduced when data needs to be transferred from RAM to disc (pagefile) and back. This is more frequent if a badly written software retains unnecessary data in the RAM when its window is left open but not in use and so reduces the amount of RAM available for the app you are using. Mem reduct is software that will attempt to force data out of the RAM onto the disc for apps that are not being used much but if it increases data movement it could actually slow things down.

Peter Blaise, Peter Blaise, that depends on the type of 'hit's: a PUA or PUP is just a potentially unwanted application or program, which usually isn't vicious dangerous malware, just some 'adware', ads for additional software that the user can respectfully decline. Auslogics products seem to get targeted a lot, but they are harmless. And a pretty good line of software too, IMHO.

I have used the Bitsum ProcessLasso for many years and still swear by it and recommend it to others. I am contacting BitSum to find out where ProBalance fits into the scheme of things.

Rick_S, I did bench mark tests, before and after the processLasso, the results are in micro seconds differences. ProcessLaso was the best on a single core CPUs, with multi core CPUs there is not big improvements or non at all. It will not hurt to have it installed, but do not expect blasting speed. What this software does is just prioritize the CPUs time cycles to foreground software.

From Rick_S, I just received a reply that Balance Pro is a subset of Process Lasso. This was answered in an hour or less. :)

Mark, One of the Pro version's advantages is that you can change processing priorities on software, either current or always. Sometimes something finishing faster is really useful. I've never slowed any process down, but some may want to do so. Also, on older PCs, which were inexpensive, I've seen results on them when I've upgraded them for friends. Both on Vista to Win 8.1 and Win 7 to 10.

Rick_S, So does this mean if you have PL Pro you already have this software?

Is that free to upgrade to the latest version? Does one year license mean that I can use it for one year with upgrade? What if I do not upgrade and want to use it for a long time until my pc really get bad?
