I think the whole point of this utility is to find/remove passwords which are unknown; for example, I get a financial invoice/statement which is "secured" by a password. I can easily remove the password protection by this kind of utility which is necessary if I want to add text (e.g, Paid on 31Aug2023) to the PDF. I'd suggest trying to use this utility to remove/reveal the password which you can't remember.

Interesting, but I assume one must first know the password of the .pdf to use this software. That is, it won't help at all with a .pdf that you can't remember the password for? Is there anything legit out there that will work in such a case? Because after 15 years, 2 moves and 4 computers later, I have a pdf document that I still can't open because I lost the password and haven't the foggiest idea now what it was.
