I won (Thanks), but the included 144,000+ database of movies is too much, especially with no way of deleting them. I also had it scan my NAS and it detected the movie extras (deleted scenes, gag reels, etc) as full movies not associated with the movie in particular. It would be nice to have the option to list movies I may like based on what I own.

The included movie database is there to allow the discovery of new movies, to have the complete filmography of each person, to easily rate all the movies that you've seen, to enter your owned movies more quickly, to be able to use the program even when you're offline, etc...

The included movie database is the core of our concept. It's supposed to be the strength of our program. Are you sure it's a problem? It takes only 1 click to list only the movies that you own. It takes only 1 click to list only the movies that you've seen/rated. If you're listing the movies that you own when you close the program, it'll be remembered the next time you'll launch it.

Sorry about that. Do you have many? The program identifies the video files from their name, I don't know what I could do about it. Is it possible for you to edit the file names to have them begin with the movie title, for example "Movie Title - Trailer.mkv". Another option would be to associate those files manually to the right movie, by clicking the "play" icon below the movie title.

We do have a recommendation system. But you have to rate the movies that you've seen, and the program will predict your rating for the movies that you haven't seen yet. This system is better than what you describe because owning a movie doesn't really tell how much you liked that movie. The program even includes a rating game. In fact, it's much more than a game, it's the most efficient way to rate the movies that you've seen. For example, if you've already entered the movies that you own, it'll ask you to rate those movies in priority. Also, at any given time, it'll ask you to rate the movie that it's the most confitent about the rating it predicts. It won't ask you to rate a movie that you wish to see. Etc...

When you look at the filmography of a person, even there it takes only 1 click to filter the list to show only the movies that you own, or the movies that you've seen, or the movies that you haven't seen. It's super cool, I use it all the time, I don't know any other program that can do that!
