Installation issue: the readme.txt warns that you might need to turn off your AV software due to the Themida wrapper usage. After several attempts, I discovered that you also need to turn off your VPN software as well.
Software eval: I had hoped that this program would provide some interesting tracking information, but the data it displays is very simplistic (transaction date, amount, balance, confirmations, fees, and link to an online blockchain source). All of the information is displayed only in terms of the cryptocurrency. It really would have been nice to have the option to view the transactions in terms of the value of USD (or other fiat currency) at the time of transaction (or even have the current BTC value displayed for reference).
Also, the feature list states that the results can be exported to Excel. There is no option, button, or other obvious user-friendly control to do so. The only way I was able to "export" the data was to highlight the listing, then copy and paste into Excel.
I think this is a nice, albeit simplistic program, if all you want is a quick listing of your crypto coin transactions. Worth it as a giveaway, but not the regular $39.95 asking price.

Wonderful -- installed easily -- thank you!
Now, is there anyone among today's visitors (or from YL Computing) that can direct those of us (the vast majority of GOTD visitors, I would think, that have no experience with using -- or are too scared to try -- BitCoin and the like) towards a good, clear, thorough, down-to-earth (simple) tutorial of how to actually get started using digital currency? A step-by-step hypothetical example would be nice.
(Most articles seem to focus on aspects of the technicalities of how "blockchains" are supposed to work, or are mined for profit with racks of high-powered equipment, or on sensational thefts/hijacks of BitCoin account balances, etc.)
Also (pardon my ignorance), with a traditional banking account I'd normally want to keep the account number and it's balance a confidential secret from the public, even family. Does digital currency alleviate that worry due to... what? Without a login (to where? an online bank?) and/or password the owner's name or other identification is not revealed, so no one would know who owns what?
Or is there ever any "ownership" assigned to these things other than being in possession of a unique password such that the world is otherwise free to gawk at the balances in the cloud?
I don't intend to begin a thread hijacking comment space on this page, but a link to a discussion forum or good tutorial/article might go a long way towards gaining customers...
Having said all that, and counting myself among the uninitiated (i.e., thus-far-scared from trying), can someone -- YL Computing, perhaps? -- confidently volunteer an account number for me/us to try this out on?
Thanks!

HMarx, You will find a lot of useful information in simple English on ComputerHope (download it, it is a non-profit site) and search for bitcoin, follow various internal links etc. You are warned of all the dangers (many hidden), and together with the advantages the disadvantages. It is at least a first-rate starting point.
