The downside to the free software is that you can't reinstall it should your hard drive fail. I installed it on the day of the offer, and was met with an expiry message when I tried to install it on my new drive a couple of days ago. :(

I want to update what I previously posted about not getting the license by email, I contacted SoftOrbit support and they sent it to me manually today. Thank you!

GOTD Team,
There is no "wrapper"(that 3rd file that is always in your downloads) in today's download, only the exe and readme files. Was that omitted intentionally or by accident? I am just checking to be sure the installation will be safe as is. Thank you.

I always use the "Get Link" with email address to access and download the GAOTD. This never works. I never receive a link. I have a valid email address and I have attempted this eight times in total with yesterday and todays giveaway. Is this happening to anyone else? (It is not in spam, I have checked)

Read Dr. Seuss's "The Sneetches", and you will learn why watermark appliers, and removers exist.

bluedun, I have the same problem, I requested the link with a valid email address and it doesn´t work. I have requested in the past other products from SoftOrbits so I don´t know if it could be related or not.

Reply   |   Comment by Yuri  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Actually sorry, I did not explain this properly, The GiveAwayOftheDay link does work, what does not work is receiving the license that SoftOrbits is meant to send you by email and without this I can´t register the product

Reply   |   Comment by Yuri  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

bluedun,
I cannot answer why you are having a problems but wanted to say I do it the same way and I always get the link. I did it just now and recieved the email with the link within seconds. I cannot imagine the reason it is not working for you.
Wish I could have helped. :(

bluedun, no, link works nice for me. Always got it.

bluedun, I used this same option for PhotoStitcher two days ago, and for all other Giveaways. That particular download went straight into my 'GotD' folder. Most of the time, I get an email from GotD with a link to the download. Maybe it's your email client (for example, Hotmail)?

Saroj Debbarma, then Your PC has a big problem. Better your write down your problems in an pc-forum.

Saroj Debbarma, maybe it's because you try to open those readme files FROM INSIDE the zip folders and, for some reason, your computer doesn't like it. In that case, copy or move the content of the zip OUTSIDE of it before trying to open the files. Honestly, I can't find any other reason why a computer would be reluctant to read text files...

Saroj Debbarma, This is because, trying to use a software to remove someones WATERMARK COPYRIGHT NOTICE is a BAD IDEA.

Cheers!

Juniper, the BAD IDEA is lecturing other commenters without even bothering to read what the giveaway does.

Procházka, take a look in the ReadMe.

Reply   |   Comment by nibo1978  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (-1)

Procházka, from readme file:

Installation

Unzip the package you`ve downloaded and install the software by running BatchWatermark_pt1.exe
During the installation, click the "Get Free Activation Key" and fill in the form to activate your account.
Registration info will be displayed in the browser.
Copy the activation key, paste it to the installation window and complete the installation process.

!!!PLEASE, DO NOT RENAME THE INSTALLATION FILE, OTHERWISE THE ACTIVATION WON'T WORK!!!

Reply   |   Comment by VH101  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

Procházka, During the installation you should see a box asking to enter your activation key. Click on the GET KEY button and you will be redirected to a site where you have to enter basic details (first & Lastnames, email and dob) You will then be given the activation key which you can copy and paste into the request box, the whole process takes no more than a couple of minutes to complete. Working perfectly on Win 10 (x64). Hope this helps.

Can't see the point of this software when the same company sells a product to remove watermarks...

bob,

Can't you see the logic? You load a bunch of other peoples photos on to your computer that the owners think are protected with a watermark. The next step is to remove their logo with logo remover software. Now you load them on to the batch logo software and voila these photos now have your logo on them.

The above statement is a joke. Like you I don't understand why any company or individual would or could sell both software and why would anybody buy them.

This just isn't right.

Reply   |   Comment by Marty  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+18)

Marty, anybody with 10 minutes knowledge of Photoshop or something similar can clone over a watermark unless there are dozens scattered all over the photo which takes a little longer.
The best way to protect your work is to make sure your name and contact info accompanies the photo in the meta data file and even that can be removed. The truth is, as in music and video files, anything on the web can be pirated. It is the unscrupulous times we live in.
I've been a pro photog for 40 years, since people respected others' art and paid accordingly. Stealing is just stealing and human nature has gone for a dump.

Reply   |   Comment by Gupstock  –  2 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (0)

Marty, I brought 300 photo's from a photographer with his water mark on them, I had his permission to remove the water mark so I could put my own on them, this software works a treat, thank you

So this company says it's okay to remove copyrights and their notices eh? Hmmmm, Sad that the OBama FBI that's still seems to be working feels that way otherwise this type of technology teaching people to steal wouldn't be out there.

Cherio!

bob, some people want to put watermarks and some people want to remove watermarks.
