Nice and simple video converter, that feels a lot like many other converters offered on GAOTD already. But you cannot have too many video converters, can you ? And lifetime license, so it is a keeper. Thanks

If there is no loos in audio and video quality then why does it have a video and audio quality option?
Tried it on a short video clip and on normal video quality the video was lower in quality. On high video quality option the video was better but not as good as the original and smaller in size than the original video

According to my test, it works great to convert local video and audio files. I bought the 1 year license before. Now it is exciting to get the lifetime license.
I think Allavosft is also highly recommended when we want to download online video and music files.

This is probably the best converter that I have ever downloaded. I just converted 65 videos from avi to mp4 in less that two hours. It is as it says accurate and lossless. I will purchase this program for sure.

I am unable to get an mp4 (h.265) to play video in the viewer or trimmer. It only show the first frame and then one or two others.

I can make a GIF of a clip. I can view it within AVC, but when I save it, player programs think it is a jpg image.
Has anyone successfully created a GIF from another format ? Thanks,

For my movies I predominantly use the video codec H264 and for the audio codec MP3. And if necessary, the H256 video codec and the H257 audio codec to go to an MPG file and to remove any compression. That is then predominantly very large files. I then use it to use the subtitles into a yellow color via video to video converter (free). Then to have the usual compression video codec H264 and MP3 audio codec on an acceptable smaller file. Casually said, video to-video converter cannot handle the H265 video codec.

A GIF works by itself without any software once created. As far as I know VLC does not support playing GIFs. It plays by itself - basically open the GIF file with your browser and it plays.
Having said that though, VLC is that universal tool you need in your audio-video toolkit. It works on Mac, Window$ and Linux.

The program is good. It converts very fast with good output quality and colors. I have tested with SWF format to MP4 and back. Everything is very good and quickly.

I'm always suspicious of any video conversion process that promises no loss of quality during the conversion since I suspect that that is not possible and I'm sure that it's totally impossible if the promise is made for every possible conversion. Nontheless, I downloaded it and at the very least it seems to work as a video player if you are satisfied with the options of either full screen or tiny window in the original window. I'll play around with it later to see how it works for its intended purpose. As an additional plus, the license is lifetime.

Ideally it should first covert it to a completely uncompressed video, then recompress in the selected format. That way, the file size would be rather similar and technically without loss of quality. However that would quickly take a lot of time and use a lot of memory and disk-space.
Or alternatively, do it frame by frame. Decompress a frame, recompress in the desired format. But same applies, quickly takes a lot of time and use substantial memory and temporarily diskspace.
I'm guessing they use a different method and "without loss of quality" would then mean a much larger output file than the original video. Rough estimate, at least 1,5 times. So a 30MB video (input) would become a 45MB (output) file.
If neither is the case then they are cutting some corners. Not sure how noticeable. I have a good convertor so don't need this one. But if not meant for 'professional' work (or something that is dear like family videos) o well, it's most likely not an issue. :)

Neil, it is what it is... actually it's a bit more complicated than that, since 1) several different video containers are listed, and most of those can hold video that compressed / formatted differently, & 2) the specs for each format generally refer to playback, so there can be quite a lot of technical difference between 2 videos of the same format. Add that companies like camera makers can develop their own versions of the video format their products use, Plus, complete specs for many streaming services along with DVD & Blu-ray require often expensive licenses with a binding NDA.
There are industry associations that come up with and publish various standards, e.g. for digital broadcast TV, though most enforcement / regulatory efforts ended with analog TVs [why for example HDMI doesn't pass through captioning, since CC is no longer required]. And there's obviously no regulations or enforced standards when it comes to online or streaming video -- one reason why every channel &/or service has its own app.
