I was looking forward to trying this out, but the installation self-aborted after a while, saying something I've never seen before about a "windows" issue.

Nothing special. Software which capture website wideo embed... i stay with IDM...

Btw add comments like discus. Than users can more chat together.

McAndrew, he means Internet Download Manager. It is a download manager (paid version) software which can download videos on most of the sites like Youtube. Below is the URL of the IDM website.

The only channel that I get that I'm interested in, is NASA, but that channel keeps flickering on and off, on and off.

Went around the houses to get a log in directly on the Audials site so I could even start the program. Once started it looks the business but none of the UK channels seem to work. I followed the link for Cbeebies and was asked to subscribe to a free channel (after more of the adverts). Anyone got any further than this?

Previous versions used to run USTV.GO to give you every channel on basic cable. Then they tied up with NordVPN and to get free tv you have to pay for Nordvpn. Now there are a few broadcast stations which get OTA

Good Morning, I have deleted the 2020 version but when I try to install this 2021 version it tells me to ensure I have an internet connection, which I have and check proxy and firewall settings. After numerous tries I switched off Defender but still I get the same window opening and the program then aborts. Can anyone help please? I don't understand the "proxy settings."

If you are using the Kaspersky Antivirus, try turning off SSL checking. You do that by opening the Kaspersky user interface and then going to:
Settings > Network settings > Encrypted connections scanning,
choose "Do not scan encrypted connections", and click "Save".

Stuart Berg, I am having the same problem, but I do not have Kaspersky. I am using AVG which I disabled and still am being asked to provide a working internet connection.

For AVG, try this:
1. Open the AVG user interface and select Menu ▸ Settings
2. Select Basic protection from the left panel, then click Web Shield.
3. Untick the box next to Enable HTTPS scanning to disable the feature.

Now try the install again and it should work. After getting it to work, enable HTTPS scanning again.

Wanderer, Go to the Audials site directly and set yourself up an account... then use this to get into the program rather than trying to register through it.

Good morning. I still have Audials TV Recorder 2020 from July 31st 2020. Do I have to deinstall the older version before installing this one or will the older version from the last year still work if I have both on my PC? I ask, because sometimes older versions are more stable or even have better quality. Thanks in advance if somebody has answers. Have a great day and stay safe.

I am disappointed.
Some live streams listed are not available. i.e. if you are not in the same country as broadcaster. If that happens you see an advert for chat line .
The viewing screen is small.
I have not used the download facility.
I do not see how this bit of software is useful. You can watch most live streams in your browser.
Deleted because of this.

Does This Record the Audio directly or does it record audio through the
microphone, Nothing annoys me more than recording a movie and getting a telephone are someone coughing in the audio...

About 300 live streams or TV channels that are mostly all encrypted, if you want to remove the encryption, you will have to pay for that. There are more than enough devices for sale that can receive those DVB T T2 S C signals, but if they are encrypted it is of no use to you.

A very messy interface which ultimately seems to use a web based playback under the hood.

Although it does the job of playing the streams it has 2 very annoying features.

1. The moment I hit the record button it sends my volume up to maximum and plays the sound. If I try and get to the volume slider I get a whirling cursor and then the program prompts to end or wait. I have to end as waiting does nothing.

2. If there is something recording and you minimise to use something else, the recording will abort and the first you know about it is when you go to check.

Not very impressive I'm afraid.

I guess that makes sense, as it's not recording the stream but more than likely the screen itself - it's a glorified screen recorder, so if you minimise it, there is nothing to record. That's terrible, as you don't get the proper resolution.
