I've downloaded it, installed it, put in the code but all I can do is get a welcome splash screen every time I click on the link to the program, never the actual program itself. Don't know what to do now.

Well, I finally found the little icon on my task bar that I need to use to start the program; but, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to work it to grab a video. Oh well! I love Ashampoo products and I thank GAOTD.

I love this app and it is easy to use and works perfectly, Ashampoo makes great products and this is one of them. i use it for the most basic cut and paste functions but it is nice to know the power of the program if needed.

I have tried and used the previous versions of Ashampoo Snap, and they have been excellent at what they were doing. So thumbs up for that.

This version though had a graphic update of the build-in icon set, which in my humble opinion is a downgrade.

They should leave an option for the user to select the icon set used in their previous versions.

I have been using version 9 for a while (thanks to GAOTD). Do I need to uninstall version 9 before installing version 10? Thanks in advance for the help!

Sam, Figured it out. Logged into Ashampoo account that I signed up for when I installed version 9. I then clicked on the setup.exe file again and everything worked.

I like Ashampoo's Snap because it allows you to choose which video codec it uses, e.g. I've used the x264 VFW Codec to capture 1080p directly to AVC at 30 fps. Also, Ashampoo has Snap 11 on sale now for $15.

I've been using Snap since version 5, which I think was a GOTD on this site. I liked it so much, I purchased a license for version 11 last year.

Hi,

I had same problem but corrected it by copying the hyperlink from the email and using this in my browser as the link didn't work directly from the email when I clicked on it.

Just Me, Thank you for the tip, but I must confess I don't quite understand what you are saying
When I run Setup.exe a screen asking "Get Free Activation Key " came up. I click on it and nothing happens...

In the email you see a "Click Here" box. Move your mouse over it and you will see a hyperlink that says https://www.ashampoo.com/c/iB..... (I blanked this out as it is personalized to me). Right click when you see this and select "Copy Hyperlink". In Chrome I pasted this into the address bar at the top and I received a License String when I did this immediately.

Sam-Ottawa, I clicked on setup.exe file and get a popup indicating to click for activation. Then a tab pops up in my browser asking for email and I have yet to receive an email. Any suggestions/advice? Would really hate to miss this awesome software.

I have used Version 9 for a while now and enjoyed the Giveawayoftheday. Thank you for Version 10. With an existing Ashampoo account, the registration was a breeze. Keep it up!
