Burning Studio 2021 is the quick and reliable way to burn movies, music and files to any recordable disc. Aside from data backups, this burning program also extracts audio from music CDs and creates stylish covers and inlays.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 2021 is a powerful disc burning software for CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs. The software quickly burns files, audio and video to all recordable disc types but also specialized media such as BDXL or M-Disc. The built-in disc ripping auto-detects track names and easily turns audio files into custom audio discs complete with individually designed covers and inlays. Playlists can be auto-generated during ripping for easy playback in the desired song order. The program can also finalize discs to make them playable on older retail players or car radios.

Getting "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" screen when starting the program. Unable to get past this screen, thus unable to use the program.

Install SLOWLY!
Post-install there is a 73 MB update, which will install automatically.

After that, you are all good to go!

Don't discount old DVD technology, I still have a stack of unused. Ashampoo programs a great especially when free. My last Ashampoo burning program was 2010. This one installed just fine.

Having a movie or program on DVD is a secure feeling vs somewhere in a "cloud'

Per my earlier comments...installed fine. Per a reply, I went ahead and did the update. That went fine.

I went to burn a BD-R. The interface is nice, though it was very slow to deal with a large BD-R with lots of files. I went over the BD-R capacity, and so I had to eliminate some of the folders that I had dropped on in the initial config of files. Deleting was very slow, because it must be reevaluating all the other files. It got better when I remove the folders that had the most files.

Then I went to burn the BD-R. Very nice interface. Too bad it crashed rather than burned. It did not really tell me why. It sent a bug report to Ashampoo though, so they will see.

It's a much prettier interface than BurnAware, but I think I'll stick with that. Still, a nice offer from Ashampoo for those who don't have a better alternative.

I gave it another try...I was careful not to load any folders with a lot of files...this time it didn't crash. I got to the burning stage again, it started and failed with this response:

15:24:06 - Preparation started
15:24:06 - Starting track analysis
15:24:30 - Track analysis completed successfully
15:24:30 - Preparation completed successfully
15:24:30 - Recording at 8.0x in track at once mode. The recorded BD will not be finalized.
15:24:30 - Memory allocation failed
15:24:30 - Average write-speed: 0 KB/s or 0.0x.
15:24:30 - BD recording completed
15:24:31 - Recording BD failed

Note that I have 64GB of memory, and only 60% was in use (and that would include by Ashampoo.)

Might be in part related to the fact that this is a 32bit app. That may also be why it was so slow for folders with a lot of files in them.

I got the last version that was offered for free here at GAOTD. Have not used it yet, but had plans to do so soon for a project that is coming down to Burn Time. Not sure if I should DL this version or not, but will do so anyways, because there is likely to be some improvements, and I want the best I can get.

Thank you, GOTD. I downloaded to update my copy of 2020. After registering (I have several Ashampoo programs I have paid for) it immediately wanted to update to Version 1.22.5, which it did. The updated required no action on my part, other than to OK the initial download. I just ripped one of my CDs as a WAV file and it worked well, as did the last version. Thanks again.

Was going to say its a great software to have, but have doubts now.
I added some media files to a previous back-up Blu Ray disk without finalizing, like i dont til the disk is nearly full. Never had any problems in the past, but the latest paid version (Burning Studio 21) update Very similar to this one, totally made the disk unreadable. Luckily my recovery software (isoBuster) extracted my files which would have been lost. Whatever they have changed from the older version was no good now,

I gave up on Ashampoo Burning Studio a couple years ago. I’d used it for years, but one day it wouldn’t run. I reinstalled it and punched in my key from my Ashampoo page. A message came up saying the code had been used ‘too many times’ ... I don’t even know what that means. I contacted support and they were no help at all. So, I found another burning program.

Reply   |   Comment by Bim  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+16)

Bim, it is obvious that your pc is compromised and your serials are stolen by hackers. As a result your serial is used by a number of people and thus black listed. This may be the reason for sure.

Bim, Ashampoo did the same thing to me with the "used my license too many times." I emailed them and they were no help to me either so I uninstalled their program.

It installed fine...but as soon as I ran it and logged in it told me that there was a free update for me. 1.22.5. Will that invalidate the license? Could that be because I already had an account, and for all I remember, may actually have a paid version of AShampoo? (I had used it in the past--I don't remember if I had used a free version or a paid version, but I stopped using it because it didn't save the original file dates when backing up files. I switched at that point to using Burnaware Free, which did preserve file dates, and I've been using that since. But I thought I would give this a try again.

Neil, I installed today and it prompted me to do update, so I did, and it works perfectly well. Its a keeper.

Reply   |   Comment by Sam  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

Neil, I have the same question. If we update is that the same as an upgrade, and do we lose the license? Did you get an answer?

Reply   |   Comment by Lonnie James  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+4)

Lonnie James, the upgrade doesn't hurt the licensing (see my later post, which is separate). Still, I am not planning on using this after my two full tries wasting time as both ended with failure. Give burnaware free a try...not as pretty, but more reliable, at least in my experience. I've now been using that for more than a year to burn up to 100GB BDs, and almost never have made a coaster (maybe 1 or 2 in a year of a lot of burns). So good I finally decided to contribute to the author of that software and paid for the lifetime pro license. The paid versions are also available as 64 bit apps.

When installing the only option is to say no to allow. It asks me to enter username & password, but there is nowhere to do so, all I can do is say don't allow ?

2021 edition installs as v1.22.0, then offers to update to v1.22.5

Reply   |   Comment by HMarx  –  3 years ago  –  Did you find this comment useful? yes | no (+3)

mp,

>"what version is this?"

It depends on what you think "version" is for this software. It is a bit confusing since several software companies starting using the year as the version, but they generally never gave up on their original numbering system either. Notice that 2021 is at the end of this product name. Is it the version or part of the name?

I prefer to seek out the original numbering system embedded into the executable files. You can easily check these yourself by right-clicking on an .exe file, then selecting Properties. Next, select the Details tab. It will show the actual version number.

For this specific download, the version is 1.22.0, but immediately following the install, you will be prompted to install a "free update for you" that is version 1.22.5. Since you have been warned in the readme.txt file that you are not permitted any free updates, you may think that installing this "free update for you" will prevent the program from working, but in this specific case, it does not.

In January, Ashampoo Burning Studio 2021 was offered on another site. For that install, I also ended up with version 1.22.5, and everything worked. I saved a copy to compare to today's install, and I expected they would be the same, but today's install is a tiny bit later than the one in January. The majority of the files in Program Files (x86) did change. There is a file named version.info. My previous 1.22.5 version.info file shows 1.22.0.5 but today's version.info file shows 1.22.5.8.

After installing version 1.22.5, you will see a "suggestion for you" and it is to "TRY FOR 30 DAYS FOR FREE NOW! Burning Studio 22 (I suspect the 22 is from the year 2022). What happens after 30 days can be different depending on the company/product. Some will no longer function unless you pay the full price and others will revert to a simpler edition of the software. I do not know what Ashampoo does in this case, so it is up to you whether you want to take the gamble or not.

After you install today's giveaway version, Ashampoo takes you to their site where you can see that the Burning Studio 22 is 70% off, bringing it down to $14.99 (from $49.99). If you really like the software, the 30-day trial may be the incentive you need to get the 22 version. After all, the reason these companies do this is for advertising.

Not much has change in 11 years with Ashampoo Burning Studio 21. I have Burning Studio 10. After looking at the screen shots for the updated version, the only difference is the menu interface and skin color. Everything else is the same. Ashampoo does say some things are improved. Not sure how you can improve some of them and a option to apply scratch-protection. Not sure, what that is either? I'm not saying anything bad about Ashampoo software, because I've always liked all their apps Curious, would be a better way to say it. Guessing, I'll know more after installing this version. Thanks to GOTD and Ashampoo for the offer!

Install and registered just fine, however after installing it wanted to restart my system, why would win10 need to be restarted? All .dlls should load without a restart. Anyways I didn't restart and open program and was clicking menu's to see what it offered and it is VERY laggy, like a 20+ year old program. uninstalled.

There is still a place for CDs and DVDs.
NOT EVERYTHING is available online, even if you're willing to pay for it. NOT EVERYONE is able to get a reliable internet connection in the UK. Until things drastically improve, CDs and particularly DVDs will be around for a good few more years yet.

Gary Richardson, quite right. reception up here is still abysmal for streaming etc, even ordinary connection drops regularly so we have to have DVDs for everything . I have an Ipod as well, but I like to have CDs too
