THERE ARE STILL OVER 100 MILLION XP USERS in the world that DO BUY PROGRAMS........like this and like me.........with the later abortions from MS, and the poor MS 10 users that suffer from it and the Computer shops making a killing FIXING that MESS......If I ever give up XP, it will be TO APPLE............NOT MS.

Funny as I just posted - my "organization" was stupid and got stuck with that LATEST MESS from MS.......lucky we kept about 30 systems that STILL WORK with XP and does everything but dance.
PS - mostly with MS MANDATORY "F" UPDATES THAT KEEP OUR it PEOPLE BUSY "FIXEN" THAT JOKE.

I have a question. Who's losing all this data? The amount of recovery software on the market is huge. Haven't people learned to back up yet? If not everything then at least the crucial stuff?

Steel Monkey : good question. Recovery software is almost the same as recovery surgery, performed after injuries have been inflicted on a pedestrian who didn't look both ways when crossing the road.
Good luck to APower Soft if it manages to get its own recovery stuff working properly, because there is a place for this kind of software in every toolbox, just in case disaster strikes between back-ups.
But far too many out there still have this kind of item, and only this, in that box. Why? The deployment of an after-the-fact solution, no matter how good, is never going to be as good as the exercise of before-the-fact commonsense.
With the plethora of back-up software out there, free and commercial, the simplest, quickest, 'My Documents' saving to an external drive should be well within the competence of even the most novice user. (Even my elderly mother in law knows how to run 'Synchredible'. . .)
